Laura Cheadle isn't your average coffeehouse musician. She brings a funky, soul, rock, pop feel to any room with her lyrics and guitar. Just at the age of four, Laura was on tour and belting her heart out. For Laura, music has always been a part of her life and naturally became a career. Although she currently calls Princeton, NJ home in Laura's words, “Bucks County is absolutely beautiful with such a great creative vibe.” She even finds herself visiting at least once a week!

Doylestown will have the pleasure of hosting Laura at Puck on Saturday, October 2nd, where she will celebrate the release of her new album “Change (It's Alright).” Doors will be open at 7pm, with Laura coming on stage at 8:30pm. Tickets are only $8!

Laura has proven her musical talent by opening for many artists including Sister Hazel, Spin Doctors, Jonas Brothers, Constantine Maraoulis of American Idol and more. She was also the very first viewer's choice on 6ABC's Tuned In television program where her music was profiled.  In addition she was featured in South Jersey Magazine as a “Super Woman of South Jersey” for her active charity work and voted “Best Female Singer” on the hit radio station 93.7 WSTW.

Laura is known to be an upbeat performer, not your typical musician sitting on a bar stool strumming their guitar. At most shows Laura can be seen on stage shaking her hips and engaging the audience. Stage presence and charisma are two of her greatest assets. It is not unusual to see high school-aged kids, soccer moms, and seasoned musicians simultaneously mouthing Laura's lyrics to her as she performs.

I had the opportunity to ask Laura a few questions about her musical career. I wanted to know who would be the one artist she would love to work with. Laura simply said, “Stevie Wonder! He is my favorite artist of all time. I actually saw him live for the first time last year and I am more in awe of him than ever! He absolutely blows me away with his voice and music. That would be my ultimate dream come true.”

Laura has already achieved many great accomplishments but is excited to bring her album release party to Bucks County. There are many shows scheduled for the rest of the year including a performance at a event in North Carolina for The American Foundation for Children with AIDS. Usually Laura can be found in venues throughout the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York areas.
