Logan-Inn-Welcome-Sign

The rich history of the Logan Inn is woven into the tapestry of the Delaware rivertown of New Hope. Built in 1722, the treasured building became an inn in 1727 and is the fifth continuously run inn in the country. It is not only an intimate luxurious inn, but a beloved Bucks County restaurant and tavern as well.

Each of the sixteen rooms available are furnished with colonial period pieces and antiques. The restaurant’s menu serves delectable foods with plenty of healthy choices for brunch, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. Local artists perform every Friday & Saturday night and a live jazz band during Sunday brunch.

The Tavern is the oldest part of the inn and features a fully equipped bar, two flat screen TVs, six beer taps, and unique cocktails that change seasonally. The glass-enclosed, wrap-around patio includes stone walls from the original façade of the building and allows Tavern guests a cozy indoor-outdoor experience.

Located right on the main street of town, The Logan Inn has arguably the largest and best outdoor seating available for those picturesque spring and summer months. Locals love to sit and eat, drink and people watch. However, there are also fire pits and cabanas where you can lounge with friends or family and roast marshmallows during the chilly months.

Landmark Hospitality, the new management team behind the Logan Inn, are excited and passionate about its history, success, and most importantly, it’s customers who make it all possible. Longtime general manager Maggie Smith, who has been with the Logan Inn 27 years, is more excited now than ever about all the additions coming to the inn in the near future.

When asked about the staff & their relationship with the community Mrs. Smith shares, “We all have become very attached in this industry. Some of these people have watched me raise my children. We celebrate holidays together!”

As for the exciting additions coming to the inn– there are a lot. Since the new ownership began earlier this year, the Inn has already made quite a few additions to what it offers its community. They have a new corporate package program that provides companies with the Inn’s gorgeous setting, scrumptious food, and unique team building classes. Companies may choose from a wide array of classes hosted by local experts – painting, cooking, cocktail, meditation & yoga just to name a few- to help make their team building events something special to remember.

The Inn will also receive a bit of a makeover over the next year with additions and sprucing; a new glass conservatory, a banquet hall and twenty two new hotel rooms are just some of the exciting changes.

Logan Inn works to give back to the Bucks County as much as possible. They are a part of the historical society, participate in fundraisers for the local high school, and supporters of local organizations and charities including the Doylestown Hospital and A Woman's Place.

“Any type of event or charity in our local surrounding we’re happy to help and be a part of. This ownership really wants for us to be out there and participating in all of the community efforts that we can.”

Speaking of charitable acts, 'tis the season for giving! And this year, just like the last forty plus years, The Logan Inn will host a wonderful night of Christmas cheer during its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

On November 29th, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the town gathered with the holiday spirit and enjoyed carolers, hot cocoa, stunning decorations, a visit from Santa and of course, the Christmas tree lighting! Talking with the Mrs. Smith about the Logan Inn’s Christmas celebrations, it was quite clear that the holidays are a very special time for the Inn and its patrons.

“As busy as we all get, sometimes we don’t take the time to pause and enjoy the moment. That one Sunday night every year, I think we all take a pause and really just enjoy the moment and the celebration. The whole town along with us will be decorated and ready to celebrate the holidays. Its families who were children many years ago, and now they have their own children and they still come back. It’s a nice special feeling to see and be a part of.”

The Logan Inn of New Hope certainly is a special and wonderfully cherished place, by locals & travelers alike. Be sure to stop by this holiday season to view their exquisite holiday décor, grab a bite, and have a drink!
