Carlucci's family of restaurants is taking their mission to nourish people with delicious Italian food to the children of Haiti.

This April, Carlucci's Italian Grill's General Manager Dominic Mazzella will again travel to Haiti on his own dime to work in an orphanage cooking for children. These children don't have access to running water or electricity, much less the everyday luxuries that we take for granted, like soap, toothpaste, and shoes.

Traveling alongside a small committed group of volunteers from the Christian Life Center in Bensalem, Dominic is calling on locals to help make the mission a success. Donations for much-need supplies are being collected at Carlucci's Italian Grill in Yardley through January 31st. Items needed include canned sauce, canned vegetables, breakfast bars, baby formula, rice, flour, sugar, salt, olive oil, kitchen supplies, plastic utensils, paper towels, soap, bleach, diapers, toothbrushes & toothpaste, crayons & coloring books, and childrens' toys.

Dominic has been able to get many of his contacts in the restaurant industry to help, with one food vendor recently donating over 170 cases of pasta. All supplies will be shipped to Haiti in order to arrive alongside the volunteers on April 11th.

Drop supplies at 1633 Big Oak Rd. in Yardley through January 31st.  Want to do more? Volunteers with experience in plumbing and construction are always needed.
