Meet this multi-tasking, multi-talented Mover & Shaker:

Bucks Happening: Where did you go to school?

Dana Stone: I graduated from Neshaminy High School, and attended Kent State University, where I received my teaching certification, and served in the US Army.

Bucks Happening: What motivates you every morning?

Dana Stone: The knowing that I can make a positive difference every day in these children’s lives.

Bucks Happening: What would you say is your idea of a perfect day?

Dana Stone: Not having to work at the day job to help pay the bills, and just being able to be the best mom and wife, a good friend to all, and a positive role model & dance instructor to the children of the community.

Bucks Happening: Who inspires you?

Dana Stone: My parents, as they have stood by myside thru everything- they always told me to never give up on your dreams.  Also, my dancers & their families – as they allow me to share the love and passion of dance with them every day, seven days a week.

Bucks Happening: How did you decide to go into the world of dance?

Dana Stone: Dance has always been a part of my life.  At one time, I thought the dream of owning a dance studio someday was gone forever, but five years ago I was given the opportunity to make my dream come true.

Bucks Happening: Which achievement are you most proud of?

Dana Stone: I am so proud of the family we have created at the dance studio, Stepping Stone Dance Studio.  We are on our fifth year, and growing stronger than ever.  Our dancers, their families, and our instructors have such a family bond, its truly amazing… we are truly one big happy family.

Bucks Happening: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome?

Dana Stone: The biggest challenge has been the ability to balance my roles as mother, wife, Operations Manager (day job), a dance instructor, and a studio owner.  7 days a week/ 24 hours a day, sometimes just doesn’t seem like enough time.  Always looking for that 8th day of the week.

Bucks Happening: What is the biggest accomplishment that you’d like to achieve over the next 5 years?

Dana Stone: Over the next five years, I would love to be able to put the day job behind me, and be able to focus and use my dancing talents and knowledge during all hours of the day.  Whether it is offering different classes during the day, or camps, or working on choreography opportunities, traveling to NY to further my dance education…etc.

Bucks Happening: How do you think your friends & coworkers would describe you?

Dana Stone: Loving and caring, always thinking of everyone else but myself.  Full of energy, and can never sit down and relax…. Oh and loves love’s coffee !!

Bucks Happening: Where’s your favorite place to go in Bucks County?

Dana Stone: Favorite place to go… I have two… my home, where I can spend time with my family & friends and the dance studio, where I can spend time with my dance family.

Bucks Happening: If you could go back in time and talk to yourself ten years ago, what advice would you give?

Dana Stone: Never give up on your dreams… there was a point in my life that I had given up, but with the love and support from my family and friends, which gave me hope, and I was able to make my dreams come true.

Bucks Happening: Congratulations, Dana!
