Believe it or not, Mother's Day is just around the corner.  If you're looking for a special way to celebrate with your mom this year, why not skip the flowers and treat your mother to what she really wants, an afternoon together!

The Event:

From 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, May 5, 2012, the Bucks County Housing Group (BCHG) is hosting The Mother's Day Tea at Tyler Mansion (on the grounds of Bucks County Community College).  This special open house event, sponsored by the William Penn Bank, is perfect for family or friends of all ages.

The Details:

Guests will enjoy an afternoon admiring the beautiful interior of Tyler Hall and strolling around the gorgeous campus grounds in full springtime bloom.

Additionally, attendees can browse a variety of vendors (see full list below) while sipping specialty teas, supplied by The Tea Can Company, and munching on sweet and savory treats!  Carrie's Cupcakery will bake a variety of mini cupcake, and Just Scones will deliver the “Best Scones in Bucks County” plus other treat choices.

And while the parents indulge, kids can make mom an extra special gift at the “Kidz Craftz” table.

How to get tickets:

Tickets, which can be purchased online at www.bchg.org, are $20 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for children. Tickets will also be available at the door for $25, $15 and $10.  If you purchase your ticket online prior to May 5th, you will receive one free raffle ticket.  Additionally, the first 140 guests will receive a special gift!

All proceeds from ticket sales, raffles and sponsorships will go to support BCHG’s mission of serving homeless and hungry families in Bucks County.

We've heard that last year's event was a huge hit, so if you're interested, make sure you get tickets soon!
