Jonathan Salyer is much loved by the children at Lower Bucks YMCA

Known at the Lower Bucks County YMCA as the “child whisperer” for his beloved connection to the kids in his programs, Bristol's Jonathan Salyer centers his life around helping children with special abilities and children at-risk. A Pennsbury High School Graduate,  Jonathan is now a Special Education Teacher at the Valley Day School and the Special Abilities Coordinator/ Special Needs Camp Director at the local YMCA. With the cause close to his heart from a young age, it has always been a dream of Jonathan's to show everyone what can be done to help children with special needs.

Jonathan works tirelessly to promote Special Needs Awareness throughout the Lower Bucks County community.  At the YMCA, he continues to add more fitness, social, and educational programs for both adults and children with disabilities. In his spare time, Jonathan assists families with children in need with his advocacy and passion for improving the quality of life for people in need.

One Lower Bucks YMCA member shared her admiration for Jonathan on their Facebook fanpage, “This is a really good man! He is always there for the children no matter what…he knows how keep the children smiling. He understands them. Great person to have in your team!”

Congratulations to Jonathan!
