Do you love to dance? Perhaps you’re a fan of Zumba? Or you just can’t get enough of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars? Well, if you answered yes to any of those questions, you’re going to want to check out a special event being held May 16th at the Newtown Athletic Club.
What: A fun-filled, high energy dance master fitness class with Louis Van Amstel, a three-time world dance champion, Emmy-nominated choreographer, and dancer on the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars. This class will be based off Louie’s dance fitness program called “LaBlast” which inspires people of all ages and fitness levels, while dancing to a wide variety of music. Types of dance include: Cha Cha, Disco, Jive, Salsa, Lindy Hop, Merengue, Paso Doble, Quick Step, Samba, Hustle, Viennese Waltz.
Where: The Newtown Athletic Club, but this event is open to both NAC members and non-members
Who: The class is designed for everyone, from the absolute beginner to the experienced dancer. It is a multi-level program in which students can progress at their own rate, getting into the best shape of their lives, while learning the skill of dancing. As the program progresses, the intensity of the workout increases, dances and choreography are expanded, and technique and details are refined.
When: Friday, May 16th from 7pm-8pm
