Summer weather is here … are you ready?
Newtown Athletic Club can help you get in shape, and teach you how to make healthy decisions part of your everyday life. Newtown Athletic Club (NAC) is known as an elite health and wellness center, but you might not know that it also offers a fitness and nutrition program that is open to the community. HealthyCARE is a 13-week program that combines nutrition counseling and team-based workouts to guide participants to lead a healthier, movement-oriented lifestyle.
According to the CDD, two-thirds of the leading causes of death can be prevented by making healthier choices in our lives. The greatest impact comes when we make heart-healthy actions part of our everyday routine. The HealthyCARE program not only incorporates nutrition and fitness, but also shows you how to continue to stay healthy after the program.
Some of the HealthyCARE program’s average results include:
-
Weight loss of 15 pounds
-
Weight reduction of 3 inches
-
Blood pressure drop of 11 mm Hg
-
Cholesterol drop of 15 mg/dL
-
Triglyceride drop of 37 mg/dL
“My wife and I recently completed the HealthyCARE program with great success! The focus on getting healthy, instead of pure weight loss, was a huge plus for us. The length of the program put us in a position to make clean eating and routine exercise something that we’ll do for the rest of our lives,” said Rick Griffith, past participant and Bucks County resident. “The health metrics changes for our cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure were truly astonishing. We could not be more thankful that we entered the program!”
