During the month of October 2018, the non-profit Pine2Pink Foundation took over Pine Street in Doylestown. The goal was to raise awareness, have fun, and most importantly, solicit donations to directly impact breast cancer patients in the area.
The entire community rallied together. And at the end of December, Pine2Pink presented a check to Doylestown Cancer Institute in the amount of $21,500 to benefit local breast cancer patients in treatment and recovery. The money will help with purchasing cold caps known to reduce hair loss from chemotherapy, treatment transportation and out-of-pocket expenses.
Co-Founder and Executive Director of Pine2Pink, Keith Fenimore lost his grandmother to breast cancer before he was born. Then, he watched his mother win a battle against breast cancer in 1999. His mother, Marianne Fenimore, was with Keith when the check was presented to Doylestown Cancer Institute.
