Believe it or not, Peddler’s Village is celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2012, which means there will be even more amazing events & promotions held throughout the year! More than 25 million guests have visited Peddler’s Village with family and friends over the past five decades.

First up- they're kicking of the year-long celebration with a Birthday Cake Recipe Contest, in which the public is invited to submit personal cake recipes to be judged at the Cock ‘n Bull on January 21, 2012. The winning cake will be available on the restaurant’s menu from February 14 through December 2012.

Here's how to enter: Complete the registration form and return it to Peddler’s Village by January 10, 2012.  Registration forms will also be available on the Peddler’s Village website as well as at the Hospitality Desk located in the Cock ’n Bull lobby. Only one entry per person. No entries from professional bakers will be permitted. Entries will be judged on flavor, crumb, texture, density and appearance, but not decorating skill.

The top three entries will be announced at the contest on January 21st as well as on the Peddler’s Village website throughout the week of January 23, 2012. First place will receive $250 in addition to their cake being added to the menu while 2nd & 3rd Place winners will take home $150 and $100 prizes respectively.

The month of June is the official Birthday Celebration Month, and promised to be filled with fun including a Customer Appreciation event, a Family Reunion and the most spectacular Celebration of Freedom ever.
