The Chalfont new Britain Business Alliance is planning to pull out all the stops to celebrate 175 years of the Pine Valley Covered Bridge. On Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 4 p.m. they will be kicking off a Birthday Celebration for the bridge and everybody is invited.

This event will be hopping with live music, food trucks, vendors, fireworks, moon bounce and face painting. There will also be entertainment provided by dance schools and karate classes.

Organizers will also be lighting the bridge for the first time. This is planned for Covered Bridge Park, which is adjacent to the bridge on Keely Avenue in New Britain Borough.

The bridge itself will be closed for this event. Keeley Road will be closed from Lamp Post to the Bridge and again on the other side of the bridge on Ferry Road, from 4 p.m. to dark. Those who wish to attend can take the Dart Bus from the town center for free. Golf carts or a horse-drawn carriages will also be acceptable transport to the event.
