Congratulations to Doylestown native Alecia Moore (that's Pink to non-Bucks County insiders) who has been selected to sing the national anthem at Super Bowl LII. The NFL has chosen the acrobatic-loving pop star to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” to kick of the game on Feb. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Pink joins halftime headliner Justin Timberlake. The Super Bowl will air live on NBC.

Pink released her seventh studio album, “Beautiful Trauma,” in October. Its lead single, “What About Us,” is nominated for a Grammy this month.  A mama of 2, Pink and her husband Carey Hart have daughter Willow Sage and son Jameson Moon.

Earlier this year, Pink gave a moving, empowering speech addressed to her daughter at the MTV Video Music Awards while accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for which she was widely lauded.
