It's been a long and difficult year for the people in Haiti still trying to recover from the destruction caused by the earthquake that changed their tiny nation. While they've come a long way, there is still much to be done. Bucks County poets and residents, Roy Smith and Judith A. Lawrence have decided to do what they could to help keep the focus on this ongoing effort to restore Haiti by organizing a poetry benefiting Haiti.

Lawrence, a publisher of the River Poets Journal, and Smith, a published poet himself, agreed that together they could do their part by showcasing their talents to Bucks County. The poetry society that resides in Bucks County alone is resounding. Living among artists and such an inspiring atmosphere, however, it's easy to see why.

If you've a moment to spare this Saturday, February 19th, please come out to the New Hope Arts Center between 3-6pm and support not only local Bucks County poets, but also those who remain in need of our help during this time.
