Not quite ready to move on from the Holiday Season? Looking for some love and light to lift your spirits these days? Do you just need safe ways to get your family out of the house?!

Well, whatever your reasons, you'll be happy to hear that several local establishments have decided to extend their holiday offerings into January. While some have been operating since late November/December, others needed to temporarily close (or make changes) for most of December due to COVID-19 restrictions. With capacity limits and a shorter season, they weren't able to welcome nearly as many guests as usual. So here's your chance! If you didn't get to go before, or you loved it so much you want to go again, get your tickets and make a reservation to enjoy these holiday events while you can.

The Grundy Museum Victorian Holiday House

When: Now through January 15
Where: East Court Street and Route 313, Doylestown

The Grundy Museum Victorian Holiday House is open for tours, showcasing the newly restored first and second floors. Plus, the Museum is decorated for the first time with exquisite Christmas displays. Bristol Borough's Bird of Paradise Flowers owner Jimmy Bason-Gilpatrick partnered with the Museum staff to create this year's decorations. Your ticket donation supports the Grundy Foundation “CanDoMore” campaign.

Holidays at Fonthill Castle

When: January 9 through January 31
Where: East Court Street and Route 313, Doylestown

Choose from three holiday programs. 1) Daily guided Winter Wonderland tours of the castle where you'll learn about the life and legacy of Henry Chapman Mercer. 2) Explore at your own pace during a 30-minute Holiday Lights Meander. 3) See Fonthill Castle aglow during their guided Evening Tours.

Pearl S. Buck International Festival of Trees

When: Now through January 31
Where: 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie

Each year during the Annual Festival of Trees, the rooms of Pearl S. Buck’s iconic Bucks County stone farmhouse come alive with the glow of holiday decorations. After needing to close for much of December, they have now reopened and extended the Festival of Trees for the month of January. The event showcases beautiful trees and vignettes designed by Bucks County’s best artists, decorators, and local community groups to convey the spirit of Pearl S. Buck’s legacy as an author, humanitarian, and activist.

Shady Brook Holiday Light Show

When: Nightly through January 10, Fridays and Saturdays until the end of January
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

Previously expected to close in early January, Shady Brook Farm recently announced that they're keeping the fun going for a few more weeks! Drive through the Light Show in your own car, or bundle up and take a wagon ride. After the Light Show, you can warm up around the farm's private campfires while enjoying s'mores.

A Very Furry Christmas Sesame Place

When: Now through January 18
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne

Sesame Place has extended their Christmas celebration through January 18 on select days!

A Longwood Christmas

When: Now though January 17; Gardens open daily, 10am-11pm; timed admissions tickets are required.
Where: Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square

A Longwood Christmas has been extended through January 17, and as of Monday, January 4, indoor attractions including the Conservatory, Peirce-du Pont House, Webb Farmhouse and the Pumphouse will be reopened. Take in the famed Garden Railway, a display of 31 locomotives, steam engines, diesel engines, specialty engines and even childhood favorite, Thomas the Tank Engine! Becoming a “tunnel of light,” for the holidays, it is a fun way to add delight to the season.

Enjoy holiday music from Rob Dickenson & The Brandywine Christmas Minstrels while taking in the outdoor displays. Don’t forget to take in the transfixing open-air theatre fountain shows!

“Discover Christmas at Glencairn” Self-Guided Museum Tours

When: January 20 through January 31
Where: 1001 Cathedral Road, Bryn Athyn

The first floor of the museum will be decorated for the holidays! This includes poinsettias, wreaths, and a Christmas tree with antique glass ornaments.
Enjoy a self-guided tour of international nativity-related art dating from the Middle Ages to the present day.
Children are invited to take the Nativity Seek and Find and will be rewarded with a prize.
Traditional decorations of the family will be on display, including the Steiff donkey, collectibles, and the three-part Pitcairn Cabinet Nativity that has been on display every year since 1939.
