For local orthodontist Dr. Sam Kadan, D.M.D, helping people is just a way of life.  He enjoys helping patients to achieve their best smiles. But Dr. Sam Kadan isn't just straightening smiles, he's also helping to put smiles on the faces of local youngsters!  Dr. Sam Kadan D.M.D. is an active supporter of a variety of local youth organizations, having recently helped save the beloved Kid’s Castle playground at Town Park in Doylestown Township, sponsoring several youth athletic teams every year, and sponsoring local youth race irun4life, which his own children run in annually.

He and his wife, Adele, chose to support the Kid’s Castle project because it is a place that was enjoyed by their children when they were little.

Community is important to the Kadans.  Dr. Sam Kadan has been open in  Chalfont since 2001 and more recently, was inspired to open a Doylestown office since his own kids go to Doyle elementary.

Because orthodontic patients must visit the office every six weeks or every other month, Dr. Kadan and his staff work hard to make visits as fun as possible. They have instituted a token system. Patients earn tokens for keeping their dental appliances and braces intact, participating in special events and holidays, and wearing a Dr. Kadan t-shirt to appointments. The tokens can be redeemed for prizes at future visits. “We try to encourage good behavior during treatments and between visits,” says Adele, who is the office manager. “That way, there isn’t a lot of breakage.”

I feel I contributed to their well being by giving them something that will stay with them for a lifetime.”

Dr. Kadan is a board certified orthodontist, which means that as well as going to dental school and completing a residency in the specialty of orthodontics, he has taken his education a step further. Board certification is a voluntary effort that applies the class work and continuing education to the real world of patient care.

When choosing a board certified orthodontist, patients are getting someone who’s methods and results have been vetted by nationally renowned orthodontists, but it is more than that. Dr. Kadan explains, “More importantly, you are choosing someone who has demonstrated a quest for excellence in the field through the in-depth self evaluation that is required by years or preparation. This quest for excellence is applied to every orthodontic patient in our office.”
