The Shops at Valley Square unveiled exciting plans for the redesign of their “Town Center” – the focal point of the popular mixed-use lifestyle center in Warrington.
Poag Shopping Centers acquired The Shops at Valley Square in June of 2016 and is excited to invest in continued development of the space. The property was built in 2007 and has approximately 204,000 square-feet of first floor retail space and 89,000 square-feet of second floor office space. The village-like setting includes an array of coveted brands – including DWS Shoes, ULTA Beauty, Banana Republic, White House Black Market, and more – as well as top-notch eateries – including P.F. Chang’s, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Panera Bread, The Melting Pot, MOD Pizza and Turning Point. The center is designed to look like a country town with street lamps, tree-lined sidewalks, flowers and benches, street parking and buildings no taller than three stories.
The “Town Center” will be completely renovated leading up to the 2017 holiday season. With a focus on creating new public gathering areas, the Town Center will include a 20’ x 20’ “Living Room Pavilion” with fireplace and soft seating, the 32’ diameter “Family Room” game area with activities for all ages, the 32’ diameter “Storytelling Area” with integrated benches, Adirondack chairs and rockers surrounding the fire pit, plus enhanced lighting and more.
Shopping center industry visionary Dan Poag with then business partner Terry McEwen, founded the predecessor to Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Centers, LLC, over three decades ago with an innovative idea that transformed retail real estate. Dan knew that shoppers enjoyed the convenience and safety of easily accessible stores. He took this concept to the next level by designing centers that offer national specialty stores, restaurants, superior architecture and landscaping, park-like gathering areas, and other amenities to create open-air environments that reflect the communities in which they are located.
Dan Poag’s ventures over the years successfully developed lifestyle centers throughout the country, and the company today owns/manages 18 lifestyle centers under the leadership of President and Chief Executive Officer Joshua Poag with a focus on “catering to each community’s lifestyle with integrity.”
The new “Town Center” will be unveiled in November 2017, just in time for The Shops at Valley Square’s spectacular holiday tree lighting. Don’t worry, though, construction will not interfere in anyway with daily operations at The Shops throughout the summer and fall.
The Shops at Valley Square are open daily and located at 1501 N Main Street in Warrington, PA.
