Bucks County's Spring Trout season opens at 8am on April 2nd, 2016- two weeks before the state-wide opening. The minimum size is seven (7) inches.

Pennsylvania is home to some of the best Trout fishing in the world! Whether you’re looking to battle wits with wild Brook Trout on a small mountain run or land a trophy Brown or Rainbow Trout from one of our well-stocked streams and lakes, PA has something to offer every Trout angler. Brook (native, state fish), Brown and Rainbow (including steelhead and golden rainbow) Trout are found in PA waters.

Here are locations around Bucks County to fish this season:

  • Unami Creek – Limits: Milford Twp. Park downstream to Trumbauersville Road (S.R. 4051)
  • East Branch Perkiomen Creek – Limits: Branch Road Bridge (T-431) downstream through Sellersville
  • Tohickon Creek – Limits: Dark Hollow Rd. to mouth
  • Delaware Canal – Upper Washington S.P. – Limits:
  • Neshaminy Creek – Limits: Two sections-Valley Road to Mill Road near Jamison and from the dam at the causeway in
  • Tyler State Park downstream to the bridge on S.R. 332
  • Delaware Canal – Lower Washington S.P. – Limits: Downstream to East Maple Street Bridge in Morrisville
  • Levittown Lake
  • Lake Luxembourg

In addition to a fishing license, trout anglers 16 and older must posses a Trout/Salmon Permit (or Combination Trout-Salmon/Lake Erie Permit) to fish for trout. Licenses must be signed in ink and displayed on an outer garment. Anglers must also be able to provide positive proof of identification (other than the fishing license) upon request of a Waterways Conservation Officer.  2016 licenses and permits are valid December 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016 (except 1, 3 and 7-day licenses) and are available Dec. 1, 2015 at issuing agents statewide and online through the The Outdoor Shop.
