The forecast for this week is all rain, rain, and rain. If you have little ones at home for the summer you may need to get out and burn off some summer energy. Not to worry we’ve got you covered. Check out a few places to fight off cabin fever in Bucks County.

Indoor Playtime
We live in a time with indoor play places can be found at chain restaurants like McDonald's, Chick-Fil-A and Burger King. Back in the day, the only way to play inside was with a roll of quarters and a pizza purchase at Chuck-E-Cheese. Restaurants now offer indoor playgrounds with the price of admission as low as buying a cup of coffee or a Happy Meal. You can visit several local fast food restaurants or check out the unique experience at Mr. Bs Coffee House in Souderton, PA. This is a coffee house tucked inside of a mega-church. The play zone at Mr. Bs has several stories of slides and areas to climb up high. There is no cost to go to Mr. Bs but mom can grab a coffee and lunch for the kids while she is there. It is located at 820 Route 113 in Souderton, inside the Calvary Baptist Church. It’s closed on Mondays.

Some of our very own Happening List winners offer great activities away from the elements. You can check out the Airborne Training Center located at 1537 Campus Drive, Suite 5 in Warminster. This state of the art tumbling facility has space for kids to jump, run and tumble. Airborne has tumbling classes, cheer skills drills, and many other options. Call ahead for open tumbling times or to check class availability at (215) 675-9092.

Bounce it out
There are so many ways to Bounce in Bucks. One of the most popular is Bounce U in Horsham and Langhorne. These wonderlands are full of inflatable bounce houses with mega slides and climbing walls. You can check out the Bounce U located at 221 Cabot Blvd in Langhorne or the 420 Babylon Road location in Horsham. Double check Groupon where they often offer bounce passes for as little as $11 for 2 one hour bounce passes.
There is also the latest in extreme bouncing at Sky Zone. Sky Zone is like jumping on steroids, where a mega indoor trampoline park offers tons of jumping fun. They also include places to climb, Virtual reality and foam pits. Some even have ninja warrior style obstacle courses. They also often have sweet Groupon deals. There are two local Sky Zone locations one at 45 Runway Drive in Levittown and another at 145 Liberty Lane in Chalfont.

Bouncing Off the Walls, a Happening List finalist located at 8919 New Falls Road in Levittown, offers bouncing and sensory experiences. The summer schedule is filled with open play hours, perfect for little ones to run, jump and play. This is a shoe free facility to make sure you have some socks handy. Day passes for young kids start as low as $3, older kids $8 or monthly passes are available for those who need multiple outings.

Stay in and stay active
Let’s face it sometimes the weather outside is just too frightful. If this is the case you can stay in and get creative. Anybody with Comcast on Demand can currently go to the fitness menu and select yoga, then children’s yoga and engage in a brief yoga activity. If you don’t have Comcast you can do a search for children’s yoga on YouTube our favorite is the theme yoga lessons from Cosmic Kids.
