A Local Love Story: Doylestown's Cheryl Stahle and Steve Weiss

the inn at bowman's hill love story

Cheryl & Steve of Doylestown

BH: How long have you to love-bird been together?

Cheryl & Steve: We have been dating for over a year, now live together, and are planning on getting married

BH: How did you meet each other?

Cheryl: We were fixed up to meet at Saxby's in Doylestown on my birthday.  Since this was a new guy, I had arranged two emergency ditch calls just in case the date was not going well and even had a fellow Saxby regular hang out at a nearby table in case I needed an exit strategy.  I had had too many bad dating experiences so ultraprepared was my motto!  Steve asked me out that very night for our second date.

BH: So would you say it was it love at first sight?

Cheryl: Probably.  We are very different people, both parents who have experienced divorce.  Settling down again is pretty scary when you've gone to the darks points in a marriage so we took our time (…but Steve said I love you first).

BH: What is your favorite date spot in Bucks County?

Cheryl & Steve: That's a tough call.  We are regulars at both the County Theater and love the Zen Den. Our favorite 2two restaurants for dinner are Cross Cultures Cuisine and Soup and Seafood.

BH: What's your favorite memory together?

Cheryl & Steve: We spent last New Year's Eve watching fireworks on a private beach at a resort in San Juan Puerto Rico.
