The entire community is invited to celebrate. The event kicks off on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2 p.m.
This free 100th birthday event, hosted by the Board of Trustees, will be held on the grounds and street front of the Free Library, which is located at 93 W. Ferry Street in New Hope.
The Long Hill String Band will be playing heritage music throughout the afternoon, and Al Grout will entertain with magic tricks and juggling. Guests can see the creation of a mural in real time, as well as watch students from New Hope-Solebury High School’s Mask & Zany Club performing as “living statues.” There will also be face painting.
There will be cake and popcorn and the Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream food truck will also be on hand.
Free parking will be available at the high school for this rain or shine birthday party. The Free Library was Bucks County’s first library and was officially incorporated on April 2, 1918.
