Tonight, Thursday, September 15th, kick off the weekend early at the Bucks Happening 2nd Birthday Bash at the New Hope Railroad. There will be complimentary appetizers provided by McCaffrey's, beer tastings from River Horse, fun raffle prizes, and a FREE scenic train ride through Bucks County. See you there!

On Saturday, September 17 from 10am to 3pm the Historical Society of Hilltown Township is holding the 4th Annual Fall Festival & Open House, to be held at the circa 1840 Hartzel-Strassburger Homestead. Tour the Homestead and enjoy local artisan exhibits in the Homestead and under the tent. Live demonstrations through out the day. Antiques & Collectibles. Large book sale in the Society’s library Baked goods for sale. Silent auction. rain or shine. Free admission

Celebrate the beauty of Lake Nockamixon at Nockamixon Community Day, this Saturday, September 17 from 11am to 5pm at the Bucks County Horse Park in Revere, PA.  There’s something for everyone for FREE: Children- moon bounce, trackless train, crafts, face painting Teenagers and adults- climb the Rock Wall, take a simulation ride in the NASCAR simulator, LARGE inflatable slide, monkey bridge Entertainment- Live band, 3 different dance troops, medivac helicopter, demonstrations by local fire and ambulance companies, ice cream, vendor booths ….and take a picture with the official show car Nationwide NASCAR series.

This weekend at Peddler's Village, it's the annual Scarecrow Festival & the Grand Opening of Skips Sugar Shak, a peanut /tree nut free chocolate art candy facility.  Stop in for sweet treats and then enjoy the Peddler’s Village Scarecrow Competition & Display where bigger than life scarecrow creations are on display.   Check out 2010 scarecrow pics below.

YOU MAKE ME FEEL…like celebrating the 40th Anniversary Celebration Of Carole King's Tapestry at Puck in Doylestown on Saturday night with Birdie Busch, Vanessa Reddin, Brittany. Birdie Busch’s atmospheric folk, which often aches with strains of country-blues, jumps out with a rockabilly swagger and blushes with whimsical telling-you-a-secret lilt that’s all her own, and doesn’t really fit any category or genre.

The 5th annual Naked in New Hope exhibit, a major group show celebrating the facts and foibles of the human body, debuts this Saturday. On September 17, from 6pm to 9pm, head to Sidetracks Art Gallery , beginning with an opening reception on Saturday evening, Sept. 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. and extending through Nov. 5. Outdoor refreshments will be provided on Stockton Ave.
