Know a student unsure of their college major? Bucks County Community College is offering a unique one-credit course from July 9 through August 13. To take the class, you should be either a college-age student or rising high school senior.

In Introduction to Guided Studies (GUID 101),  students will explore academic and career opportunities by developing the entrepreneurial mindset skills of problem-solving and self-awareness. The class a required first-semester course for undecided students at Bucks. However, it can also be adapted to students attending other schools. At the end of the course, students pick appropriate courses for the next semester, and many are ready to declare a major. In addition, students can earn a digital badge for entrepreneurial mindset.

Students will experience Intro to Guided Studies in a hybrid format from July 9 to August 13. The class meets for six one-hour face-to-face meetings in Newtown on Tuesday afternoon from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Students will complete the rest of the class time online.

Students planning to enroll at Bucks in the fall can take Intro to Guided Studies back-to-back with the required one-credit College 101 course, which meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:35 p.m. in Newtown.
