World War I was called “The War to end all Wars”.  It is from the end of fighting of this war, that of course could not be the end to war in general, that we have a day to honor the brave men and women who have fought to protect our country.  An agreement to cease the fighting was made on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day in the eleventh month so on November 11th we stop and reflect, honor and thank our veterans.
