February, 2016:

To be the best you have to beat the beat. Does that mean the best that you’ve put forth is not the best? Could it have been better?

I believe it means that we have to challenge ourselves every day. Every day is a new struggle. How cliché is that? But how true is it in the same moment?

Or does it mean that the best that we’ve been doing could be improved upon? I could try harder. I could go farther. I believe I can. It’s hard. I’m happy – ecstatic – about the success I have achieved but I am not done. I have lost over 40 lbs. I have broke up with food and have found other ways to enjoy it. I have been exercising using the future clothes from Intrigue Fine Apparel in Buckingham, PA as inspiration. Every time I look in the mirror is motivation. My face is shining. My body is shrinking! My confidence and self esteem are through the roof. But… there are still miles to be traveled before reaching my destination.

I’ve found in the past months I can do a lot if I put my mind to it and not procrastinate. Procrastination has always been a problem for me. I see this holds me back from being successful, almost to the point of being disrespectful. A friend told me she was proud of me. She’s known me for a while and knew how my weight and appearance held me back. She advised me not to procrastinate.

Get up, get out, and get something!! She put things in a way that made me think differently about a group of people I had not thought of since I was called on stage: the other 300 women who vied for this prize. I was told,

“Think of them who competed against you. You won. Don’t be ungrateful. You’re not only doing this for you and the people who voted for you who wanted you to win. You must follow through. This was a desired prize that a lot of people coveted. Do it for all those women who wanted it just as bad as you did. Show them and the whole world you can do this and they can too.”

My friends and family have been a great support. I appreciate the acknowledgement they give me. It makes me feel good about my accomplishment and myself. I could have never done this by myself. The sponsors in the contest have been unending source of encouragement. But it’s our competition that makes us fight on. I will dedicate the month of March to my competitors. I will work extra hard and put my all into this. I know you wanted this just as much if not more than me. Thank you and I pray you make 2016 yours!

Stay tuned for Victoria's big reveal in March!
