Bucks County Community College is offering to give students a “lift” this winter – the chance to win a pair of ski-lift tickets to Jack Frost/Big Boulder just for enrolling in Winter Session.
Students can make the most of winter break – and save a tidy sum on tuition – by earning up to six credits in just four weeks during Winter Session, which takes place online from Friday, December 15 to Friday, January 12, 2017.
Now, four lucky students who enroll in Winter Session will be randomly selected to win a pair of lift tickets to the popular Poconos destination. The one-day passes are valid at either Jack Frost or Big Boulder for the 2017-18 ski season, and are valued at $120 for the pair.
Bucks is one of the few colleges in the region offering the highly concentrated academic term. It’s the perfect way to catch up on required courses, get ahead for the spring semester, or retake a course from the fall. There are 47 courses offered with 61 total sections, including Introductory Accounting, Basic Human Anatomy, Effective Speaking, U.S. History and English Composition I, plus many more.
All courses are offered completely online, allowing motivated students to study from home, or from wherever they are spending their winter break. What’s more, credits easily transfer to most four-year colleges and universities, enabling students to work toward their degrees at a lower tuition rate – just $145 a credit for Bucks County residents – and transfer credits back to their home school. Students with a satisfactory academic standing can take up to two courses during Winter Session.
Students can look up courses and register online at www.bucks.edu/winter. In-person registration sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, December 12 and 13, in the Registration Office, located in the lower level of the Linksz Pavilion on the campus at 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown Pa.
