Fall is here, and that means it's time to get in the Halloween spirit! From pumpkin picking to haunted hayrides, wine tasting and live shows, there's something for everyone to enjoy this Halloween in Bucks County. Here are some of the best Halloween events and activities for every age.

The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular

When: Now through November 3, Friday through Sunday
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne

To celebrate Halloween, Sesame Place is fully decorated for the holiday. Special features include three Halloween-themed shows, trick-or-treating, the Neighborhood Street Party Halloween Parade, characters in costume and more.  Ticket prices vary, see site for details.

Trick or Treat Trains on the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad 

When: Select dates and times in October, see site for details

Where: New Hope & Ivyland Railroad, 32 W. Bridge St, New Hope

Kids will love this 45-minute train ride filled with spooky fun! Special Halloween-themed activities include sing-a-longs, a reading of “Spookley the Square Pumpkin” and trick-or-treating aboard the train and at the station. Come dressed in costume! Ticket prices vary.

PumpkinFest at Shady Brook Farm

When: September 28-October 1, then daily from October 4 through Halloween; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday

Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

The entire family will love spending the day at Shady Brook Farm. Take a tractor ride to pick pumpkins, get lost in the 5-acre corn maze, watch pig races and more. Listen to live music while enjoying snacks and lunch from the many vendors. And parents should visit the Beer Garden for locally brewed craft beer and Rose Bank Winery wines. New this year, there will also be a bloody Mary bar on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shady Brook Farm offers activities such as rubber ducky races, pedal go-carts, jumping pillows, inflatables and a new adventure course included in the $17 ticket price. (Children under 2 are free.) Additional attractions including pony rides, corn cannons, paint ball and truck & monster hearse rides cost extra.

Boo at Bolton: Food Truck Fest and Trick or Treating

When: Saturday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: 85 Holly Drive, Levittown

Enjoy moonbounces, face painting, character visits, balloon art, a DJ, trick-or-treating (from 12 to 2 p.m  and while supplies last), vendors, food trucks and kid-friendly ghost tours of the mansion.

Hocus Pocus: An Outdoor Movie Event

When: Monday, October 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe Street, Bristol

Pack a picnic dinner or snacks and relax on the picturesque Grundy Campus while watching this iconic Halloween movie. This event is free. No registration required.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow: A One Man Adaptation

When: Wednesday, October 16 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Quakertown Library, 401 W. Mill Street

Professional local actor Neill Hartley is Ichabod Crane is this adaptation of the classic spooky tale. Following the performance, there will be a short informational section about Washington Irving. This program is free and doesn't require registration.

Fairless Hills Athletic Association Hayride & Haunted House

When: Friday and Saturday, October 18 and 19 and October 25 and 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: 207-209 Austin Drive, Fairless Hills

$8 admission. Wear your LC fall ball shirt and receive $2 off.

Haunted Trails at Bucks County Audobon Society

When: Friday, October 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: 2877 Creamery Road, New Hope

This family-fun event includes a fun and educational walk to learn more about the creatures of the night like bats and skunks along Jack-o-lantern lit trails, storytelling around the campfire, Halloween crafts, face-painting, seasonal refreshments and more!

Groups are guided onto the trails roughly every 15-30 minutes, so feel free to come at any time throughout the night. There is plenty to do at the center while you wait for the next group to head out onto the trails.

Admission is $5/person or $20/family (Members), and $30/family (Non-Members).

CB Cares Pumpkinfest

When: Saturday, October 19 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, Doylestown

Art intersects with nature at the 27th annual Pumpkinfest! This family-friendly event will showcase area artists who carve out enormous 100 – 300 lb pumpkin squash into glowing masterpieces which take the artists up to six hours to sculpt, carve, and bring to life. Admissions is $20 per carload. Proceeds from Pumpkinfest will allow CB Cares to continue their work to provide Developmental Assets-based programs for the youth, parents and educators in the community.

12th Annual Halloween Car Show/Trunk or Treat

When: Saturday, October 19 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Falls Township Community Park, 9061 Mill Creek Road, Levittown

The Delaware Valley Roadrunners Car Club will host its annual Halloween themed car show! Come in costume, decorate your cars, bring the kids for trunk or treat! There will be lots of music, food, games and friends. 70 trophies are up for grabs, including 4 class trophies: Stock, Modified, Truck and Motorcycle. There will even be trophies for costumes and the best decorated cars. There will be plenty of raffle baskets again this year, too, so come ready to win something. To participate in the car show, entry will be $15 the day of the show. Dash plaques for the first 100 cars registered!

Trunk or Treat & Pumpkin Patch Day

When: Saturday, October 19 at 3:30 p.m.

Where: 1 Amelia Turn, Levittown

The Levittown American Athletic Association is hosting its 2nd annual Trunk or treat event. All children are welcome to dress up and visit the decorated cars in the complex. There will also be a short hayride and visit to the pumpkin patch for $2 per person. There will be painting stations, food trucks, raffles and a car decorating contest.

Quakertown Halloween Parade

When: Sunday, October 20 at 2 p.m.

Where: Juniper, parts of 11th, and Broad Streets will be closed for the parade

Spooky Stories by the Fire

When: Thursday, October 24 and Monday, October 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Bucks County Free Library Doylestown Branch, 150 S. Pine Street, Doylestown

Sip hot cocoa, munch marshmallows and listen to stories around the outdoor fire pit. Hot cocoa begins at 6:30 p.m. with stories at 7 and repeating at 7:30. All ages are welcome.

Movie Night Under the Stars: E.T.

When: Thursday, October 24 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Langhorne Branch Bucks County Free Library, 301 S. Pine Street, Langhorne

Bring the family for an outdoor screening of this classic 80s film. There will be activities and Haley Quinn's Food Truck. All ages are welcome. Bring chairs or blankets.

Peddler’s Village Halloween Spooktacular

When: Friday, October 25 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Peddler’s Village, Routes 202 & 263, Lahaska

Kids should come dressed in their Halloween costumes to trick-or-treat at the Village shops. There will also be jack o'lanterns created by the community on display throughout the weekend. Click here for information about the Pumpkin Carving Contest. Deadline to enter is October 21.

Doylestown Spooktacular Parade & Costume Contest

When: Saturday, October 26 at 10 a.m.

Where: Pine Street, Doylestown

This free family event in the heart of Doylestown is fun for adults, kids and well-behaved pets! The event begins with registration for the costume contest at 10 a.m. on the lawn of the old courthouse along Court Street. Costume judging begins at 11 a.m. with prizes for Kids, Pets and Family Theme. The parade will begin after the costume winners are announced (around noon) and will go down Pine Street and along E. State Street to Main Street. Kids (and pets!) are welcome to trick-or-treat at participating businesses after the parade.

Sensory Friendly Halloween Haunt

When: Saturday, October 26 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: 507 Girard Avenue, Croydon

Croydon Haunted Hollows and TB Children's Services present this sensory-friendly Halloween event. Croydon Haunted Hollows is the result of a family’s effort to revive the spirit of Halloween and provide trick-or-treaters with a free, family-fun walk through a harrowing scene of frights and specters.

Lolly & YoYo Halloween Concert & Costume Party at Bucks County Community College

When: Saturday, October 26 at 3:30 p.m.

Where: Zlock Center at Bucks Newtown Campus, 275 Swamp Road

Kids will love dancing along with Lolly & YoYo! The local favorites will perform a special Halloween concert on with plenty of songs and games that engage children’s imaginations and inspire play and exercise. Tickets are $5. Wear costumes!

Newtown Borough Halloween Parade

When: Saturday, October 26 at 10 a.m.

Where: Leaves from the Stocking Works at 301 S. State Street, ends at the Brian Gregg Park on North Congress Street

In addition to the parade, you can participate in the costume and pumpkin decorating contests. Judging for both competitions is before the parade begins. See the site for more details.

Halloween Boo Bash at Oxford Valley Mall

When: Saturday, October 26 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Oxford Valley Mall, 2300 E. Lincoln Highway, Langhorne

Bring the kids for an afternoon of fun! Kids can participate in Halloween crafts and a dance party in the Center Court from noon to 2 p.m. Then go trick-or-treating at participating stores from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Remember to bring a bag to collect candy.

Mall-O-Ween at Neshaminy Mall

When: Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Neshaminy Mall, 707 Neshaminy Mall, Bensalem

This all-day party features a DJ, moonbounces, balloon art, vendors, costume contest, children's parade, trick-or-treating and more! Visit the Facebook Event page for a schedule of events.

Canal-o-ween

When: Sunday, October 27 through Saturday, November 2

Where: Delaware Canal, N. Edgewater Ave, Yardley

A week-long tradition that will kick off with the 11th annual Carve-O-Thon on Sunday, October 27 from 12 to 3. Guests are invited to help carve over 300 pumpkins to create the Jack-O-Lantern Stroll that will debut that night.

Trick and Treats at Pennsbury Manor

When: Sunday, October 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Pennsbury Manor, 400 Pennsbury Memorial Road, Morrisville

This festive event combines Halloween fun with Pennsylvania history. Children are invited to come in costume to enjoy trick-or-treating, games, and 17th century demonstrations. Pennsbury Manor is also partnering with the Teal Pumpkin Project to provide non-food games and trick-or-treat stations for those with food allergies. The Trial of Margaret Mattson will also be held during the event. The year is 1684, and Margaret is on trial for witchcraft!

Halloween Storytime at Perkasie Library

When: Thursday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where: 491 Arthur Avenue, Perkasie

Wear your costumes for a not=so=spooky Halloween storytime with books, songs and dancing.

Trunk or Treat at the Christian Life Center

When: Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: 3100 Galloway Road, Bensalem

Trunk or Treat is a FREE EVENT for all children and their families! It's a safe and fun opportunity for kids to get candy from decorated cars with their parents. There will also be fun games and activities. A photo book, DJ and concessions (cash only) help complete the atmosphere for this fall celebration!

For the Bigger Kids and/or Adults:

Horror Fest at Shady Brook Farm

When: Weekends starting September 28 and through October, tickets at 6 p.m., attractions begin at 7.
Where: 931 Stony Hill Rd. Yardley

HorrorFest features four thrilling attractions: The Hayride of Horror, Barn of Horror, Alien 3-D Encounter, and Carnage (haunted corn maze). Tickets range from $18 to $50 depending on how many attractions you’d like to enjoy. All tickets include admission to the Festival Field with bonfires, Scare-ee-okee, live music and more. Additional activities such as paintball, carnival games and monster hearse ride require pay-as-you-go fees.

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres

When: Weekends starting September 28 through October, Friday through Sunday (plus Thursday, October 24)

Where: Sleepy Hollow, 881 Highland Road, Newtown

Sleepy Hollow features three attractions: The House in the Hollow, Field of Fright, and the Sleepy Hollow Hayride. There are also bonfires, live music and refreshments available. Tickets range from $16 for one attraction to $33 for all of the attractions.

Valley of Fear & Haunted Hayride

When: September 27-29, October 4-5, October 11-13, October 17-20, October 24-27 and November 1-2

Where: 301 W. Bristol Rd. Feasterville

Valley of Fear is celebrating 30 years in 2019! The four main attractions are a haunted hayride, ScaryTales (haunted forest walk), Miles Manor (haunted house), and Operation Z Escape (a zombie escape room combined with paintball.) You can also download the FearApp ($4) to enhance the terror experience. Admission prices vary, see site for details.

Ghost Tours of New Hope

Where: Main St. & Ferry St., New Hope
When: Fridays and Saturdays, plus Halloween night, tour starts promptly at 8 p.m.

Follow a lantern-led walk through picturesque New Hope while listening to ghost tales and other historical tidbits. Cost is $10 per person. No reservations are required for public tours. Private tours can be arranged (with a reservation) for groups of eight or more.

Haunted Halloween Trains on the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad

When: Select dates and times in October, see site for details

Where: New Hope & Ivyland Railroad, 32 W. Bridge St, New Hope

This 45-minute scary train ride is recommended for guests ages 13 and up.  Ticket prices vary.

Creepy Candyland: A Spooky Event for Tweens and Teens

When: Friday, October 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Where: Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe Street, Bristol

This live action board game takes Candyland and mixes in some Halloween twists! Players will have to answer a variety of questions to make it out alive! Come in costume! This event is geared to children in grades 4th through 12th. Register online here.

Night Tales at Fonthill Castle

When: Wednesday, October 30 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: 525 East Court Street, Doylestown

Take an evening tour of Fonthill Castle’s shadowy corners, including the Basement “Crypt”, and learn of Henry Mercer’s love of detective and Gothic literature, followed by a dramatic performance of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart.” Admission is $20/$15 for Members.

For the Adults:

Rocky Horror Show 

When: Select dates, October 11 – 27

Where: Bucks County Playhouse, 70 S. Main Street, New Hope

Let’s do the time warp again! The Rocky Horror Show will be live on stage at the Bucks County Playhouse. Ticket prices vary, see site for details. This show is recommended for audiences age 17 and up.

3rd Annual Hallowine Paint & Taste at Rose Bank Winery

When: Sunday, October 20 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: 258 Durham Road, Newtown

Treat yourself to a fun Hallo-WINE painting event! You’ll paint 2 wine glasses and taste 9 wines with light food pairings. Learn how to paint a spider's web and skeleton hand glass. Paint a matching pair of one design, or mix and match, it’s up to you! There will be a mystery prize for one lucky guest. For extra chances to win, wear something that shows your love of Halloween or wine. This event sold out the past 2 years, so reserve your spot early. Tickets are $45 per person.

The Five Four Bar & Grill Party

Steam Pub Halloween Party
