Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve

1635 River Road, New Hope

This popular New Hope destination reopened their trails on Saturday, June 6. You must make a reservation for specific time slots and pay in advance. Restrooms will be open.

Churchville Nature Center

501 Churchville Lane, Churchville

Trails and the play area are open. (Bring your own buckets or shovels if you'd like to dig!) The butterfly house and offices are still closed at this time.

Bristol Waterfront Park

Historic Bristol Borough

Take a walk along the Delaware River Front, and then pick up some food at one of the many local restaurants offering takeout.

Bucks County River Country

2 Walters Lane, Point Pleasant

Bucks County River Country is opening June 27 for another season of tubing, kayaks, canoes and rafting.

Peddler's Village

Routes 202 & 263, Lahaska

Peddler's Village is a year-round attraction in Bucks County, but it's especially popular during the warm-weather months. While May and June events have been cancelled, there's still hope for July and August! Right now, many shops and restaurants are open for business either walk-in, by phone, or online. In addition, restaurants are now offering outdoor seating. There are also tables throughout the Village to sit and enjoy takeout.

Local Pools

Newtown Athletic Club (Photo not from 2020.)

While many local pools have made the difficult decision to remain closed for the 2020 season, here's a list of pools that are planning to open with precautions in place to provide a fun way for families to cool off this summer.

Newtown Athletic Club

The Newtown Athletic Club, known as The NAC is planning to open their outdoor pool on Saturday, June 6 with guidelines in place. As a special courtesy to Members, Members will not be charged for the month of June, as the gym and the rest of the facilities are not open yet. 

Neshaminy Pool

3401 State Road, Bensalem

Located within Neshaminy State Park, this fenced off area features a swimming pool with slides, splash park and snack bar.

Warwick Township Spray Pool at Community Park

1733 Township Green, Jamison

The spray pool is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Bucks Swim Club

2600 York Road, Jamison

The Bucks Swim Club features three pools, including a kids pool with fountain and a diving pool. They opened Friday, June 26.

Fanny Chapman Swimming Pool 

McKinstry Drive, Doylestown

The pool complex consists of four pools (including a children’s wading pool) and locker rooms. Membership required.

They opened June 27.

Dolphin Swim Club

1500 Desire Ave. Feasterville

Dolphin Swim Club still hopes to open this season, but the opening date has been postponed.

Public Golf Courses

There are plenty of great places to get out and play in our area, and as of May 1, they are able to open with restrictions in place.

Makefield Highlands

Tee times are only available to book online. Players must register for the Park & Play Program. Phase One Protocols and Guidelines will be enforced for safety of the public and the staff. The Driving Range is open with limited access is based on open stalls.

Five Ponds

1225 West Street Road, Warminster

Five Ponds is open for play with tee times only. Driving range is limited to players with tee times day of and pre-paid range card. Full restrictions are listed on their website.

The Bucks Club

2600 York Road, Jamison

The Bucks Club is and 18-hole public golf course, resigned to challenge the seasoned golfers while relaxing the novice all at once. It is open for play, tee times only, Monday through Sunday from 6 :30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Walking only after 3 p.m.) The driving range is closed. Practice green and chipping green are open. Northampton Valley Country Club
