It's spooky season here in Bucks County. Local festivities include ghost tours, haunted houses, and just about everything else that screams October. Gather your friends and family and hold them close because these occasions are bound to send goosebumps up your spine. This guide will help you navigate the spookiest events and activities to participate in this Halloween season.

Fall Weekends at Snipes Farm

When: October Saturdays 9 am – 6 pm, Sundays 10 am – 5 pm
Where: 890 W Bridge Street, Morrisville, PA

Fall weekends at Snipes Farm begins this October and there's a lot of fun activities to experience. Admission is $8 for age 3 and above, 2 and under are free. Visit the Big Red Barn with Halloween items, pumpkins, gourds, fresh cider, cider donuts and pie. There's also a hay pyramid, straw bale maze, wooden maze, two playgrounds, farm animals, Cluckingham Palace, a pumpkin patch, nature trail, land of scarecrows and pick-your-own flowers. All proceeds from fall weekends support Snipes Farm and Education Center's mission to model and teach sustainable farming while building community and connecting people to the land. Learn more here. Fall Festival at Hellerick's Family Farm

When: 9:30 am – 6:30 pm daily, starting September 16th
Where: 5500 N. Easton Road, Doylestown, PA

Hellerick's Family Farm Fall Festival begins on September 16th. Last admission is at 5 pm and last hayride is at 5:30 pm. Bring your family and friends out for a fun day on the farm. General admission includes entry to the 18 acre Adventure Farm area, which includes a hayride, 2 corn mazes, farm animals, 3 slides, tractor tire playground and 40+ activities for children and adults of all ages.

Shady Brook Farm Fall Fest 2021

When: September 11 – October 31, specific dates and times available on the website
Where: Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Rd. Yardley, PA 19067

It's the best time of the year at Shady Brook Farm. Fall Fest at Shady Brook Farm includes wagon rides, a 5 acre corn maze, sunflowers, apple and pumpkin picking, live music on the weekends, bonfires and more festival activities. This year, experience the all new Eerie Illuminations light show, staring on September 24th. Visit the barn yard animals, indulge in spooky snacks, jump on the jumping pillow, crawl around on the spider web and race around the all new re-designed track on pedal go carts.

Froehlich's Farm Fall Festival

When: Saturdays & Sundays, 10 am – 4 pm, 10/2 – 10-31, Select Friday Nights, 6 pm – 9 pm
Where: 3143 York Road, Furlong, PA

Froehlich's Fall Festival is the perfect fall adventure for all ages. General admission is $12 per guest and an activity pass is $22 per guest. The festival includes pick-your-own pumpkin patch, live music, bonfires + s'mores, cut out boards, hay maze, scarecrows and tractors, family photo opportunities, great food, home baked goods, local brews and more.

Sleepy Hollow Hayride/House in the Hollow

When: Opens September 25 and runs throughout the Halloween Season
Where: Sleepy Hollow, 881 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA

Venture down into THE HOLLOW through the abandoned gardens and deep into the winding crypts and catacombs deep beneath the manor. An expansive cemetery and dark woods provide bone-chilling frights at every turn.

Dare to enter the gates of THE FIELD and wander through the ruins of a bewitched village haunted by ghosts of the outlaws and outcasts that lived there in the 1800’s. Continue through the deserted section of the farm no longer in use after the tragic events of the past. This year, they are selling a limited number of tickets for each half hour to maintain safe capacity and eliminate long wait times.

Valley of Fear

When: October 8-10, 14-17, 21-24, 28-30 and November 6-7
Where: 301 W. Bristol Road, Feasterville, PA

Come ride through America’s most horrifying woods, on what the independent website, FrightTour.com has called “one of the best we have ever been on” including a graveyard they called “absolutely amazing.” With gigantic sets and a twisting, disorienting trail, you’ll see why they were recently named Hayride Of The Year and the all new 2021 production of the Original Haunted Hayride will top all others! Valley of Fear and The Original Haunted Hayride is located at the Phoenix Sport Club.

Ghost Tours of New Hope

When: Month of October
Where: Corner of Main and Ferry, by the Benjamin Perry Mansion, New Hope

Don't disappoint our ghosts by missing out on their stories! Head out on ghost tours of New Hope on Saturday nights at 8:00. Meet at the corner of Main and Ferry by the Benjamin Parry mansion.

Haunted Trails 

When: October 16th, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: Bucks County Audubon Society Visitor Center, 2877 Creamery Road, New Hope, PA

Visit the haunted, jack-o-lantern lit trails at Bucks Audubon. This is a fun and family-friendly event, perfect for kids ages 4-14, but definitely can be enjoyed by all. Groups go out onto the trails roughly every 30 minutes. While you wait for the next group, enjoy storytelling around the campfire, Halloween crafts, face-painting, seasonal refreshments and more at the Education Center. Register here.

Halloween Train Ride

When: Select dates (Oct. 1 – 31)
Where: New Hope Railroad, 32 West Bridge Street, New Hope, PA

The Halloween Event operates on select dates in October and the entire excursion takes approximately 40 minutes. The event is suitable for children ages 13 and older and leaves from the New Hope Train Station, rides through the unknown and returns back to New Hope.

Scarecrows in the Village

When: September 6 – October 30
Where: Peddler's Village, 2400 Street Road, New Hope, PA

For the last 42 years, Scarecrows in the Village has been an autumn tradition in Bucks County. For eight weeks, one hundred scarecrows line the pathways of Peddler's Village. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are scary, but all of them are handmade by Philadelphia-area residents and organizations. Visitors are invited to vote on their favorite scarecrows and the creators of the winning scarecrows will receive prizes.

Voodoo – Adult Halloween Costume Party

When: Saturday, October 30, 8 pm – 1 am
Where: Newtown Athletic Club // Escape Resort Adult Pool

Sneak out on Mischief Night for a spooky good time at Escape Resort's annual Adult Halloween Party, Voodoo! The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular

When: September 18 through November 7
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA

Come in costume and celebrate silly, not-too-spooky fun at The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place! The park will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween haven and guests will enjoy trick-or-treating around the park, Halloween-themed shows, an interactive Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, pumpkin decorating, swinging, flying, and cruising on Count von Count-themed mechanical rides, and unique photo opportunities with everyone’s favorite furry friends dressed up in costume on their Halloween-themed floats!

Halloween Pumpkin Mash

When: Saturday, October 23, 10 am – 12 pm
Where: Tamanend Park, 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA

Search for hidden pumpkins in Tamanend Park, stop by the farmhouse for pumpkin decorating and get your costumes ready for a Halloween costume contest. The event is free but registration is required. You can do so here.

Halloween Happening

When: October 28, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Where: Warwick Community Park, 1733 Township Green, Jamison, PA

Warwick Township's annual Halloween Happening will be held on October 28, 2021 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. There will be performances by Joy of Movement Dance Company, appearances by Roar Wick and trunk-or-treat.

Halloween Cookies with Royal Icing

When: October 28 & 29, 6 pm – 8 pm
Where: Silly Spoons, 408 S State Street, Newtown, PA

This is a two night series for ages 12-16. Bake sugar cookies from scratch and then learn how to decorate them with royal icing.

Steam Pub

Steam Pub in Southampton is a pub-style restaurant that was a former train station connecting the Bucks County suburb to the rest of the country and allowing Southampton to thrive economically. Steam Pub just released their fall drink menu. A few of the drinks include the Pumpkin Pie Martini, Apple Pie Martini, Spiced Cranberry Mule, Spiked Apple Cider, Maple Cinnamon Latte and more. Steam Pub's Halloween Party is Saturday, October 30th from 10 pm – 2 am. There will be a costume contest, drink specials and no cover.

Halloween Bash
