Founded by Deborah Arnone in 2020 and after being in long-term recovery herself for 18 years, she felt there was a financial need to help local people in recovery from alcoholism and addiction. All of their proceeds help with aftercare treatment, sober housing, financial assistance, household items and to help support for the local recovery community. Penny Buck Junction Thrift Store prides itself on having a funky and fun vibe! They offer daily sales of affordable, great quality men’s and women’s clothing and shoes, fabulous vintage and new jewelry, handbags, a “Man Cave” room of sports memorabilia, designer section, DVDs, CDs, house decor, kitchenware, and small furnishings.
All of the store’s volunteers are either in or have a loved one in recovery. They also offer volunteer hours to those that need community service hours.
