Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, but it's also a time to recognize and remember those who have died performing their military duties serving in the United States Armed Forces. NAC Escape Resort Friday Night Live Season Opener: Big Country
When: Friday, May 26, 6-10 pm

The NAC's live music summer series, Friday Night Live returns on Friday, May 26th. There will be a poolside live performance from the band Big Country. The event is open to the community after 6 pm with access to the resort bar and dining areas. Live music is every Friday night 6-10 pm with happy hour from 4-6 pm. Childcare is available.
Memorial Day Celebration at Sesame Place

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at Sesame Place. The fireworks show is on Sunday at 9 pm. There will be photo opportunities with Elmo dressed in festive red, white and blue all weekend. Rock out with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Count von Count as their music fills the air and the sky is covered with colors.
Memorial Day Ceremony | Washington Crossing Park
When: Sunday, May 28, 1-3 pm

Washington Crossing Historic Park is holding its annual Memorial Day ceremony on Sunday, May 28th at the gravesite of the Continental soldiers located near the Thompson-Neely House. The observation will include a colonial color guard, fife and drum music, Revolutionary War reenactors, veterans, and other honored guests. After the dedication, American flags will be placed on the graves. The gravesite marks the resting place of soldiers who died during the Continental army's December 1776 encampment in Bucks County.

31st Annual Lake Lenape Jamboree

The 31st Annual Lake Lenape Jamboree is taking place Memorial Day Weekend. There will be 25 top awards, trophy raffles, vendors, food and a DJ. Registration is from 9 am – 12 pm and the show is from 12-3 pm. All makes and models are welcome.

3rd Annual Memorial Day Chili Cook-off

Memorial Day Weekend at Chaddsford Winery Tasting Room

Every year on Memorial Day, many CrossFit gyms, military members, veterans, and civilians participate in the MURPH workout to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this great nation. The workout consists of a mile run, followed by 300 air squats, 200 push-ups, 100 pull-ups, and ends with another mile run.

There will be 2 heats on Saturday morning at 8 am and 9:30 am. This is a hero workout done in honor of Navy Lt. Michael Murphy who died in Afghanistan. The full version is a 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push ups, 300 air squats, followed by another 1 mile run. If this sounds a lot, there are modification options.
