For those who would rather enjoy New Hope’s chilling accounts from the comfort and luxury of the hotel, River House at Odette’s is hosting Fireside Ghost Stories at Odette’s Overlook, the hotel’s signature alfresco dining outlet. Taking place on Wednesday, October 16 and Wednesday, October 23 from 7:30–8:30 pm, these interactive evenings will feature an informal talk and Q&A with historian and Ghost Tour guide, Carolyn Randolph. Specializing in Bucks County history, Randolph will present tales of the city and the surrounding towns to shine a new light on its fascinating past and the bold names whose presence still roam the area to this day.

Ghost Tours are returning to the Pearl S. Buck House, a National Historic Landmark Museum. Experience a classic historic house ghost tour featuring stories of spooky encounters at and resident ghosts of the historic home and estate of Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, humanitarian, and activist Pearl S. Buck, as well as traditional ghost tales from Asia. Tours will be offered Sunday, October 6 at 6 pm; Sunday, October 13 at 6pm; Friday, October 18 at 6 & 7 pm; and Friday, October 25 through Sunday, October 27 at 6 & 7 pm. Senior and student pricing is available. Due to the nature of the stories that are a part of this Halloween experience, this tour is not recommended for children under 13. The experience includes a 1.5 hour class making a custom candle, a choice from a variety of fragrance options to add to your candle one candle in a signature vessel 7.5 oz., custom label options to personalize and glitter, gemstones and stickers to add a little something extra.

Halloween Mommy & Me Partners Painting Workshop: October 19th & 26th. 3-5 pm – Celebrate the spooky season at Art in the Barn! Bond with your child while creating a beautiful painting together! Two partners work on 2 paintings that hang together. For ages 7+, all materials and instruction included! Class fills quickly, register early! Halloween Charcuterie Workshop: October 24th, 7 pm – Learn from guest artist, Emily Keane from The Board Housewife, an expert on how to prepare beautiful cheese and charcuterie boards filled to the brim with dried fruit, nuts, meats and more. Enjoy learning how to create flowers and special folds, and all about different types of cheese. The event is BYOB.
Halloween Mommy & Me Candle Making Workshop: October 25th, 7-8:30 pm – In this workshop, they will teach your child (with your help and guidance) how to create a custom hand-poured candle. Your child must be at least 7 years of age to participate.

48th Annual Halloween Happening

Come out to the 48th Annual Halloween Happening at Northampton Township Municipal Park. Entertainment begins at 11 am. Parades begin by age group, starting at noon with ongoing activities through 1:30 pm. Walk the decorated paths, visit Scarecrow Row to vote on your favorites, stop by the Wetzel Pavilion for balloons by Arlen, Halloween tattoos, Guess the Scary Finger Count for prizes and more. 55th Annual Quakertown Halloween Parade

The Quakertown Borough Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce that they will be taking over the annual Halloween Parade, previously hosted by the Lions Club. In collaboration with the Lions Club, they've been working closely to ensure a smooth transition and are now well-equipped to carry on this cherished tradition. Their team is dedicated to preserving the spirit of the event while also introducing new and creative elements to make this year's parade truly unforgettable. Parade will start forming at 12:30 pm and begin at 2 pm. The route starts at Juniper St from 3rd – 11th, and goes to Broad Street, and then from Broad Street to 11th to 3rd Street.

Spooktacular Costume Contest & Parade

The parade will meet on the lawn of the Bucks County Administration Building and parade down Pine Street onto E. State Street. After the costume contest wraps up, trick-or-treating will be happening through the town. Look for stores and restaurants with orange and black balloons hanging outside. There will be a printed list of participating locations at check in.
