From small town parades and meaningful ceremonies to fireworks and gatherings, the holiday weekend has many ways to reflect and show gratitude. Sesame Place Memorial Day Celebration

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at Sesame Place! Take in our spectacular “C is for Celebrate” fireworks display! Rock out with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Count von Count, as their music fills the air and the sky is covered with colorful bursts of brilliance. Be sure to watch them paint the sky red (and green and blue) from inside the park. This impressive display will certainly give you something to celebrate this Memorial Day! Fireworks are on May 24th at 9 pm.

Memorial Day Tribute to Local Veterans | Callahan Research Center

May 25, 10 am – 2 pm
100 Mercer St, Newtown, PA

The Newtown Historic Association will hold its annual Tribute to Local Veterans on Monday, May 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the NHA’s Callahan Research Center. Come see over 200 pictures of local soldiers who fought in the World War II, Korea, and Vietnam wars. This collection was created by Mike Donovan, a past NHA member and history buff. Also on display will be letters written by soldiers containing their private thoughts and moments as they experienced war. In addition, more than 300 World War II military shoulder patches from the U.S. Army, Army Air Force, Marines, Navy and Coast Guard will be on display. They represent a variety of battles and war campaigns that took place across Europe and Asia. A special focus is provided through the eyes of 12 Newtown natives and soldiers, not all of them coming home. This is a one-day-only event. It is free and open to the public. All are invited and you do not have to be a member to attend

Memorial Day Parade | Doylestown

Now in its 158th year, this annual event is held to honor and remember the American Veterans whose sacrifices in defense of our nation and its democratic ideals are responsible for the freedoms we enjoy today. The morning begins with a flag-raising ceremony at War Memorial Field. The parade leaves Central Bucks West High School at 10:00 AM.
