In any relationship, time plays a significant role in how two people begin, grow, develop or sever that union.
In his play, Prelude to a Kiss, Craig Lucas crafts a fascinating story with peaks and valleys, twists and turns that navigate a very unusual occurrence at a wedding.
The essence of the play is circular, with the idea that we move more deeply into a relationship as we create an image of our partner; but, as time passes, we find ourselves reconciling desire with reality. What happens when the expectations deviate too much?

An old man who is dying steals a kiss at Peter and Rita’s wedding, secretly exchanging his personality and soul for hers. The amazed bridal party looks on.
