On Tuesday, May 21, Levittown resident, Richard Wynkoop, suffered a heart attack and was admitted to St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. A dedicated team of physicians and nurses provided lifesaving care to Wynkoop who is currently in stable condition.

While the medical team focused on Wynkoop's health, his wife, Jackie, reached out to couple's son and US Navy man Richard Wyncoop, Jr. The problem was that the younger Wyncoop, an Air warfare specialist was deployed and serving our country with his unit in South Korea.
Undeterred Jackie Wyncoop first reached out to one of her son's friends. That friend then contacted the younger Wyncoop via Facebook. Wyncoop then talked with his supervisor who then, in conjunction with the Red Cross, arranged for this very rapid reunion. Once Wyncoop arrived back to his base in Norfolk, Virginia, he was escorted by about 50 motorcyclists of Warrior Watch, a Troop Support Group. At approximately 11 a.m., on Sunday, May 26, the motorcade arrived at St. Mary, and father and son were reunited, making this an extra-special Memorial Day Weekend for the Wyncoop family and everyone involved with this touching story.
