The salon has  been in Newtown for almost 15 years, so clearly they have proven that they know nails.  I myself personally enjoy their pedicures (I bite my fingernails so I never bother with them).  The Fingertips and Tootsies pedicure is not your average pedicure; there are significant differences.  First of all, their pedicure chairs are not your average chairs.  With all the same massaging luxuries, it actually looks like a regular armchair.  Once you sit to relax in the fluffy, comfy armchair, the next thing you will realize is that there is no water basin for your feet.  Fingertips and Tootsies softens and soothes your tootsies in a whole different way;  the nail technician will slather your feet in a soothing lotion and ease your howling dogs into heated booties for a number of minutes while you relax.  There is never a dull conversation at the salon, but feel free to pick up a magazine a relax instead too.

After your lotion “soak,”  the technician will move on to the “massage and beautify” portion of the pedicure, and that part is as great as it sounds.  With attention to every detail, one of the Fingertips and Tootsies Ladies will file, trim & transform your nails (and cuticles) to a sandal-ready state.

Be sure to call ahead and make an appointment, the salon has a loyal following and there are only three pedicure chairs.  Fingertips and Tootsies is only a few buildings down from Starbucks, so you might want to pop in there and get yourself a delicious beverage to enjoy during your pampering sessions.
