Happy Hanukkah Bucks County!

The Jewish Festival of Lights begins at sundown on Tuesday, December 20th.  Celebrate with other members of the Bucks County community throughout the holiday at any of the below events:

Grand Chanukah Celebration in Doylestown, Tuesday, Dec. 20 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown: Indoor fun for the whole family will follow the lighting. There will be Chanukah gelt and dreidels, latkes, Chanukah crafts and lots more. The event is presented by Lubavitch of Doylestown. For more info: 215-340-1303 or dassie@jewishdoylestown.com.

Jelly Bean Menorah Lighting in Yardley, December 20th at 5pm at McCaffrey’s Market in Yardley: Chabad of Yardley will be hosting a public menorah lighting in honor of the first night of the Jewish holiday of Hanukah. The giant menorah will be made entirely of jelly beans. Community members are invited to enjoy cultural Hanukah food, play traditional Hanukah games, make Hanukah kids’ crafts, and even use an authentic olive press.

Lambertville's Annual Menorah Lighting, Tuesday, December 27th at 6:30 PM at the corner of Bridge and Union Street: The City of Lambertville will hold the Annual Lighting of the Menorah. Rabbi Kornfeld of Chabad of Hunterdon County will join Council President Stegman and Mayor DelVecchio in this celebration. All are welcome to participate.

New Hope's Hanukkah Service and Menorah Lighting, Wednesday, December 21st at 6pm at 85 West Mechanic Street: Kehilat HaNahar, the Little Shul by the River, will host a free Hanukkah service and menorah lighting at 6 p.m. Wednesday. It will feature the Koleinu a capella singing group from Princeton University.

Shabbat Hanukkah Celebration in Newtown, Friday, Dec. 23 at Shir Ami, Newtown: Services begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and a menorah lighting ceremony. Call 215-968-3400 for more information and to RSVP for dinner.

Menorah lighting in Bristol Borough, Friday, Dec. 23rd at the Bristol Jewish Center: The lighting will begin at 6:30, dinner will be at 7 and services will start at 8.  Anyone interested in attending the dinner should contact the food coordinator, Annette Stucatur at astucatur@yahoo.com or 215-637-6203.

Chanukah Wonderland in Newtown: Chanukah Wonderland is open through December 27th at the Village at Newtown South, 2110 South Eagle Road, Newtown. The store is the local source for all Chanukah gifts and entertainment needs.

Chanukah Concert with Israeli pop sensation Gad Elbaz, December 25th at 4:30pm at 25 North State Street, Newtown: Lubavitch of Bucks County presents a Chanukah Concert with Israeli pop sensation Gad Elbaz. Tickets are $18 (general seating, $25 at the door), $54 (premium seating including post-concert kumzitz); and $108 (VIP seating, pre-concert dinner with Gad, post-concert kumzitz, pre-purchase only).
