It's a new year full of exciting changes at one of Newtown's favorite restaurants! In addition to revealing their modern restaurant makeover in fall 2015, Isaac Newtons, located just off State Street in Newtown, recently unveiled a new and improved menu. Head Chef, Jeff Watson, and Sous Chef, Chris Shemeley, worked to revamp the menu while staying true to long-time local favorites.

Delicious food starts with the freshest ingredients. Isaac Newton’s purchases their meats at Dutch’s Meats in Trenton, NJ, and fresh produce is sourced locally when possible. Sous Chef Chris Shemely shares the enthusiasm behind the menu revamp,”We want to bring more exciting options to our customers, food that the chefs and cooks stand behind, but at the same time stay true to our staples for the customers that want to enjoy our classic Caesars or our fresh burgers.”

The Chefs drew inspiration from customer favorites, working to add innovative twists to select dishes. New additions promise to take hungry patrons on a culinary adventure, from the Slamwich to Short Rib Tacos to a Special Mac & Cheese. The Slamwich name says is all – loaded with braised short rib, shredded slab bacon, pepper jack, red cabbage slaw, roasted garlic aioli, red pickled onion, and Sriracha on grilled Italian bread. Tacos are Korean grilled marinated short rib, red cabbage slaw, red pickled onion, lime crema and sriracha served on three warm flour tortillas. Their gooey homemade Mac & Cheese is served with chopped cherry peppers, grilled flank steak, lime crema and onion nest. Check out the complete menu here.

And Isaac's is just getting started. More menu updates will be revealed in the coming months. Be on the lookout for creative burger combinations, grilled cheeses, creative starters, and a new taco section on the menu. You might just catch a sneak peek of a forthcoming dish on their daily Special Additions, which features rotating chef creations and seasonal specials.
