Indigo Girls Live

River Dance Festival

Roxey Ballet is celebrating its return to a full season of events and performances about one year after Hurricane Ida and two years after the Covid-19 pandemic. The new season begins this month with The First Annual River Dance Festival featuring 18 choreographers from New Jersey, New York, Texas, Michigan, and across the nation. This weekend of diverse dance will feature all styles from modern, ballet, jazz, and tap to highlight the plethora of talented choreographers and dancers communicating their art and truth. Each day the programming will be different and will feature a diverse selection of choreographers. Featured companies and choreographers include Ariel Rivka Dance, Emma Schilling, Chapman Dance Houston, Bailey Benoot, T.MAJ Dance Company, and many more!
River Dance Festival performances occur Friday, August 26 at 7 p.m., Saturday, August 27 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, August 28 at 1 p.m. at the Music Mountain Theatre, 1483 NJ-179, Lambertville, NJ 08530. All seats are $25.00 in person and we also offer virtual tickets here.

Antique and Classic Car Show

Where: South State Street, Newtown, Pa
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Sunday, Newtown is hosting a car show event, featuring over 140 autos (classics, trucks, modified, and special interest) from 1900 to 1997. Pre-registered cars can only be entered into a raffle for a prize, and registration forms can be found here. Don’t miss this free event to gauge some of the best cars in town.
Give Back with Doylestown Clean Up Day
When: Sunday, August 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Help Discover Doylestown keep the streets of your beloved downtown clean and sparkling. Volunteers are needed to help clean up everything found on the streets from trash to litter. Simply bring your own gloves, grab a trash bag, and give back!

The Odd Volumes Nonfiction Book Club will be reading the “River of the Gods” story this week about the discovery of the source of the Nile River. They will discuss Candice Millar’s history of the quest to find the source of the Nile, and the explorers’ clashes afterward to claim the credit. The Book Club is a monthly gathering of deeply curious and voracious nonfiction readers, meeting on the last Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. The event is free to all and customers who are reading the book for Book Club receive a 15% in-store discount.
