Poetry Reading

Take a quick trip over to Jersey on Saturday night to experience a night of award-winning poetry. On Saturday, the First Saturday Poetry series will feature poet, Hilary Sideris. Her poems have been published in five full-length collections, in five chapbooks, and in many journals, including the American Journal of Poetry and The Cortland Review.

March First Friday @ Arch Enemy Arts

Arch Enemy Arts invites viewers to join us this First Friday to celebrate six impressive new shows that highlight the range of styles, mediums, and subjects. On view will be four solo features from Alex Garant, Danielle Schlunegger, Hallie Packard, and Joe Vollan as well as two group exhibitions: our curated 2023 Open Call Showcase and Wait for the Moon II an invitational display inspired by stories from The Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

PHS Philadelphia Flower Show

When: March 4th-12th

This weekend kicks off the Pennsylvania Horticultural Center's annual Philadelphia Flower Show at the PA Convention Center! This year's theme is The Garden Electric, which captures that spark of joy that comes while giving or receiving flowers. Stop by the nation's largest and longest-running horticultural event featuring stunning displays by some of the world's premier floral and landscape designers.

2nd Annual Holi Celebration

When: March 5th, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Where: Guru's | 203 North Sycamore Street, Newtown PA 18940

Grab your family and friends and head over to Guru's in Newtown to celebrate the Festival of Colors! Enjoy music, dancing, yoga, games, and all-around color as you look forward to the arrival of Spring! Tickets include a snack and drink and additional beverages will be available for purchase. All sales from the Holi celebration will contribute to their donation to Yoga Gives Back, a non-profit organization empowering 2400 women and girls in India through specific projects.

Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup 4-Miler

When: March 5th, 10:00 AM start

Where: Northampton Municipal Park | 281 Hatboro Road, Churchville, PA US 18966

This weekend lace up your running shoes and join in on one of the most unique runs in the area. The 8th annual Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup run is a four-mile footrace produced by runBUCKS. Finishers receive a soup mug, a cup of tomato soup, and a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches after they complete the race which sounds like incentive enough to hit the trail! The field size is limited to 500 so be sure to register early.

Maple Sugar Day

When: March 6th, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Where: Churchville Nature Center | 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville, PA 18966

The Churchville Nature Center's annual Maple Sugar Day is back and sweeter than ever! Join in for a delicious pancake breakfast, with made-to-order pancakes in the morning, and experience our maple sugar program in the afternoon. Learn the process of tapping maple trees, collecting the sap, and making maple syrup.
