Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, but it's also a time to recognize and remember those who have died performing their military duties serving in the United States Armed Forces. Memorial Day Ceremony | Washington Crossing Park

Washington Crossing Historic Park is holding its annual Memorial Day ceremony at the gravesite of Continental soldiers located near the Thompson-Neely House. The observation will include a colonial color guard, fife and drum music, Revolutionary War reenactors, veterans, and other honored guests. Major General (R) Wesley E. Craig Jr. will be the keynote speaker. His major Federal military decorations include: the Army Distinguished Service Medal; Legion of Merit; Meritorious Service Medal (fourth award); Army Commendation Medal (second award); Army Achievement Medal; and the Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon (fifth award). He is a member of the US Army National ROTC Hall of Fame, inducted in 2016. His major National Guard awards include the Pennsylvania Distinguished Service Medal; North Carolina Distinguished Service Medal; Pennsylvania Meritorious Service Medal (second award); Pennsylvania Service Ribbon (ninth award); and two Governor’s Meritorious Unit Citations.

Memorial Main Street Mile

Celebrate Memorial Day with a chip-timed 1-mile race on Main Street in historic Yardley Borough to benefit American Legion Post 317. The Memorial Main Street Mile race will begin at Wells Fargo Bank (225 South Main Street) and finishes at the Yardley Meeting House (25 North Main Street).

Sellersville Borough Memorial Day & Sesquicentennial Parade

Join Sellersville Borough to celebrate their Sesquicentennial Anniversary by watching or participating in the Memorial Day Parade. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. on Diamond Street at East Clymer Avenue, continues south onto Grandview Avenue to South Main Street, through town to Temple Avenue, turns right onto Temple Avenue, then enters Lake Lenape Park from the Walnut Street/Boy Scout Cabin entrance. The Memorial Service & Sesquicentennial Service will begin at approximately 11:15 a.m. at the monument off Main Street.

Penndel-Hulmeville Memorial Day Parade

The Penndel-Hulmeville Memorial Day Parade was founded with the intent to honor those who work to defend our beautiful country. The parade starts at Lincoln Ave to Ford, R/T Ford to Main, R/T Main to Bellevue, stop at Memorial for prayer, proceed up Bellevue to Hulmeville Ave, stop at Memorial for a prayer, go to Woodland Ave, L/T Woodland to Hulmeville, L/T Hulmeville to Penndel Memorial Ball Field.

Doylestown Memorial Day Parade

The Doylestown Memorial Day Parade is conducted annually for the sole purpose of honoring those American Veterans whose sacrifices in defense of our nation and its democratic ideals are responsible for the freedoms we enjoy today. Having celebrated its 155th anniversary in 2023, it is the oldest Memorial Day Parade in the United States.
