It seems like only yesterday that I was writing our weekly guide about summer solstice and here we are six months later! While I must admit, the shortest day of the year doesn't hold quite the same appeal to me as the longest, we're lucky in Bucks to have so many great things to do to brighten up the long nights! Ride the rails with Santa, Mrs. Claus and a host of holiday characters on North Pole Express for a unique holiday experience for the whole family! Children and adults of all ages are invited to ride the special holiday train, sip hot cocoa and enjoy cookies while Santa visits with each child and presents them with a special gift. Also onboard, local musicians play & sing Christmas carols for all to enjoy and participate in. Time is running out as the Christmas Train rides end December 23rd.
Wake up Saturday, December 18th at The Moose Lodge in Doylestown with The Shoemaker and the Elves, presented by Dance Elite. At 11am, performers will tell the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the elves that secretly help a poor cobbler and how he and his wife help the elves in return. Admission is free, but suggested donations of new hats, gloves, and scarves for the Moose Lodge charity are welcome
Head Home for the Holidays a little early this year with Bristol Riverside Theatre and their 8th annual Winter Musicale. Hear the toe-tapping sounds of your favorite carols, classics, and heartwarming songs provided by the entertainers along with Keith Baker and the BRT Band.
