It all began in 1751, when the cottage that was built in 1715 by an English immigrant named Samuel Hart, was turned into a restaurant and Inn, called the Hart Tavern. It wasn't until the early 1900s that it became The Plumsteadville Inn, and not only that – it went from a popular stop to a vital one, as many residents there were major fruit and vegetable suppliers. Over the years it has grown to become a cornerstone of the community, offering everything from delicious food and drinks, an event venue, catering, entertainment, a place to stay and a great atmosphere to create lasting memories.

They offer on-site banquets, parties and celebrations, as well as off-site catering services. DINING AREAS

The Plumsteadville Inn offers a variety of different spaces within the restaurant to suit all tastes, needs and occasions. From casual to a more quiet, intimate dining experience and even al fresco dining – The Plum does it all!

TAVERN SEATING

The Tavern is the largest of the dining areas in the restaurant. It features a beautiful stone fireplace and a newly refurbished 1894 Steinway grand piano that is often one of the livelier dining spaces in the restaurant. This dining area has a bar, live entertainment, flat screen TVs and a more festive, upbeat atmosphere.

GARDEN ROOM

The updated Garden Room is located on the side of the bar and lounge and overlooks the outdoor patio. This room offers plenty of natural light, making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or intimate gathering for friends and family. It's a great location for parties of 30-45.

BAR SEATING

The original bar still has the same name plates that have been there for years. It's a great area to watch the games or enjoy a drink with a friend.

OUTDOOR PATIO & PORCH

The outdoor patio and porch is open seasonally. It's a great space to enjoy food and drinks by the fire pit, or stop by for Happy Hour around the fountain statue.

THE ORIGINAL DINING ROOMS

The Original Dining Room was the first addition to the original cottage in 1751. Located behind the bar, this is the perfect spot for date night, groups looking for a quiet atmosphere or intimate dining. The original dining consists of 3 separate dining rooms.

Behind the bar is a room which was part of the original cottage circa 1716, featuring an exquisite fireplace and vaulted ceilings. It is now home to a temperature-controlled wine closet and TV.

Lobster Fest

Join The Plumsteadville Inn for their 2nd Annual Lobster Fest. This year they will be having it 2 weekends – June 20-22 and July 18-20! They will have Whole Lobsters, Stuffed Lobster and Great Lobster Specials. Reservations are recommended.

GUEST ROOMS

The Plumsteadville Inn offers beautifully appointed guest accommodations, as well as historic bed and breakfast rooms on the second floor of the Inn to help you relax and unwind. Each room provides an intimate and cozy feel, while providing luxury linens, private baths, wireless internet access and HDTV. Choose from one of three single rooms, or two room suites, featuring a sit-in room, separate bedrooms or full bath.
