Some love stories are written in the stars—Lauren and Rob’s was written in ice cream. What started as a chance encounter on Tinder in 2019 blossomed into a deep, undeniable connection, leading them to a snowy wedding day at Rose Bank Winery in Bucks County.
A Swipe Right to Forever
Lauren and Rob’s love story began in the unlikeliest of places—Syracuse, NY. Lauren was there for a friend’s bachelorette weekend, and Rob had just moved to the city after college. A match on Tinder led to messages, long phone calls, and, eventually, a first date at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. That date lasted an impressive 11 hours, ending with late-night burritos at Dos Toros and the realization that what they had was something special.

Love in the Time of Distance and Lockdowns
With Rob moving between Syracuse, Bucks County, and Philadelphia, and Lauren remaining in NYC, the couple navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Weekend visits and video chats kept them connected, but when COVID-19 lockdowns made travel nearly impossible, they knew they needed to be together. Rob found his dream job on Long Island and moved in with Lauren in Great Neck, marking the beginning of their shared life.
Their first night living together set the tone for their relationship: fun, spontaneous, and sweet—literally. They ordered an ice cream cake for dinner and, in true Rob fashion, had it labeled “Dinner.” Ice cream had always been a special part of their relationship, replacing bar-hopping with “ice cream hopping” around NYC and Bucks County.
A Proposal as Sweet as Their Love
On Valentine’s Day 2024, Rob proposed at their favorite ice cream shop, Owowcow, with two ice cream cakes. One read “Dinner,” and the other, “Will you marry me?” It was a full-circle moment, celebrating the tradition they had built together and setting the stage for the next chapter of their love story.
A Snowy Celebration at Rose Bank Winery
Less than a year later, on a picturesque snowy day, Lauren and Rob tied the knot at Rose Bank Winery in Bucks County. Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the beginning of their forever in a place that felt like home. As a nod to their love for ice cream, they even met up with some of their out-of-town wedding guests at Owowcow the night before the wedding for a late-night scoop.

A Queens & Bucks County Connection
Interestingly, Lauren and Rob have noticed a trend—multiple couples they know share their unique pairing: one partner from Queens, NY, and the other from Bucks County, PA. Maybe there’s a special magic between these two places, or maybe it’s just proof that love can bring together the most unexpected pairings.
From a Tinder match to a museum date, from long-distance love to an ice cream-themed proposal, and finally, to a snowy winery wedding—Lauren and Rob’s journey is a testament to love, laughter, and the joy of finding your perfect match.
