Riverside Symphonia Concert Under the Stars

Happy Birthday America!  Celebrate the 4th of July Holiday weekend with an evening of light classical, popular, and patriotic music and a grand fireworks finale under the stars along the banks of the Beautiful Delaware River.   Plan a picnic, bring your family, bring your friends and find out why this has become a much loved and quintessential regional tradition.

June 30
Red, White & Blue BBQ Bash
When: 12:00pm-5:00pm
Where: Peddler’s Village, 2400 Street Road, Lahaska PA 18938
Come out for a classic barbecue picnic at for all-American grilled favorites, live music by the Galena Brass Band, watermelon eating contest, family entertainment and kids' activities.

July 1
Rebels vs. Redcoats: A Revolutionary Car Show
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park
When:  12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Rebels vs. Redcoats: A Revolutionary Car Show will be held from noon to 4 PM in the large field diagonal to the park’s Visitor Center and across River Road. Registration is $20 per person, open until June 30. On-site registration will not be permitted. The public is invited to attend the car show for free.

July 2
Historic Tours and Musical Performance
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park
When: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Bring the family to the park for a free tour of the Historic Village or the Thompson-Neely House and Grist Mill, or free admission to Bowman’s Hill Tower. Tours will run from 10 AM until 5 PM.
In lieu of the fireworks display, the US Army Reserve Band will be the featured entertainment on July 2 beginning at 6 PM in the Visitor’s Center auditorium.

July 3
Family Fun and Activities
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park
When: Kayaking 10:00 am—12:00pm; 12:30—2:30 pm
Family bike ride 11:00 am
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) will offer kayaking on the park lagoon from 10 AM to noon and from 12:30 to 2:30 PM. Meet at the parking lot near the lagoon, off Route 532 in Washington Crossing. Please note that there is a $5 suggested donation for kayaking, and registration is required through DCNR.
DCNR will also host a family bike ride beginning near the Visitor Center at 11 AM. Riders will bike north to the Thompson-Neely House along the Delaware Canal Towpath and return to the Visitor Center by 2 PM, for a total of eight miles round-trip. Registration is required through DCNR.

July 4
Historic Reenactments and Readings
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park
When: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
See living historians demonstrate their crafts, tour historic buildings, and see a military encampment from noon to 4 PM. A highlight of the day will be readings of the Declaration of Independence at 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
Admission to the event, which will be held rain or shine, is $8 for adults age 12 and over, $4 for children ages 5-11 and free for those under 5. Refreshments will be available for purchase. All proceeds from this event support educational and historical programming in the park.

July 4
Revolutionary Run
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park
When: Registration opens at 6:30 am
Sign up for the Revolutionary Run a flat easy run for perfect for a holiday. Choose a 1 mile fun run, a 5k run or a 10k certified road race.  The first race starts at 8am and race day registration opens at 6.30am. 100 percent of the event profits benefit the local surrounding communities either through donations to township emergency services, local families in need, or the UMBA scholarships for higher education.

July 3 & 4
Sesame Place 4th of July Fireworks
Where: Sesame Place Theme Park
When: July 3 and 4 at 9:25 pm both evenings
Don’t miss this fireworks show, set to Sesame Street music! Rock out with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster and Count von Count, as their music fills the air and the sky is covered with colorful bursts of brilliance. Be sure to watch them paint the sky red (and green and blue) from inside the park. This impressive display will certainly give you something to celebrate!!

July 4
Quakertown Community Day Fireworks
When: All day with fireworks beginning at 9:30 pm
Where: Memorial Park, 600 Mill Street, Quakertown PA 18951

Start the day with a pancake breakfast and spend the rest of the day in Quakertown. This event features live, all-day entertainment, like live shows , a parade baseball game and more. The evening ends with fireworks, of course.

July 4
Fonthill Castle’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration
When: 12:00pm-4:00pm
Where: Fonthill Castle, East Court Street & Route 313, Doylestown PA 18901
Celebrate the holiday with some good old-fashioned fun. The whole family will enjoy activities that seem set from another time. Like sack races, watermelon eating contests, a cake walk, wheelbarrow races, an obstacle course and more. The event kicks off with the Children's Decorated Bike Parade at 12:30 p.m.

July 4
Southampton Days Country Fair
When: July 2-7, special events July 4
Where: 1255 Second St. Pike Southampton, PA
The Annual Southampton Days Country Fair is a charming old-fashioned fair. This parade includes, rides, daily entertainment, fair food and a flag raising to commemorate the day. For bonus points this day ends with a fireworks display.

July 4
Lower Southampton July 4 Parade
Where: Begins at Second Street and Bustleton Pike, Feasterville PA
When: 1:00 pm
“Remember Why It's the 4th of July” is the theme of the Lower Southampton Independence Day Parade. The line of march features the Philadelphia Eagles Pep Band, South Philadelphia and Uptown String Bands, country and western entertainer Jody King, the Boogie Dogs Band, the Jazz Vespers Dixieland Band DJB Jug Band, local and visiting fire companies, colorful floats, antique and classic cars, government representatives, the Lower Southampton Police Honor Guard, community organizations and bicycle and baby parade and much, much more.

July 4
Independence Day Picnic at Rising Sun Inn
Where: Rising Sun Inn, Telford, PA
When: 11:00am-8:00pm
Lots of fun for everyone.  Celebrate Independence Day at Rising Sun Inn. Participants can earn prizes by entering the buffalo hot dog dating contest, Quoits Tournament, and Chili Cook-Off Contest, while enjoying food and drink specials.

July 4
Middletown 4th of July Parade
Where: Veterans Memorial Park, 700 Veterans Hwy. , Levittown, PA
When: 9 a.m.
Kick off your Independence Day celebration by marching in the annual Middletown 4th of July Parade! The parade starts with a short ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park. Families are invited to decorate bikes, wagons, and strollers and walk the 1.5-mile parade route. Dress in patriotic outfits or costumes, or dress up your pets and march in the parade. Families who want a shorter walk can join the parade at the halfway point at the Raymond P. Mongillo, Sr. Community Center.

July 6
1st Friday Night Fireworks
When: July 6 at 9:30 p.m.
Where: the stretch of the Delaware River situated between New Hope, Pennsylvania and Lambertville, New Jersey
The sky will be lit with fireworks throughout the Independence Day holiday but be sure to also mark your calendars for the 1st Friday Fireworks on July 6th! Visit New Hope & Lambertville on the 1st Fridays of each month for a dazzling nighttime display. This location provides a breathtaking backdrop to the fireworks and the opportunity to catch them all summer long.

July 6
Scoogie’s Firecracker 5K and ½ Mile Kids’ Sparkler Run
Where: The Market at DelVal, 2100 Lower State Road, Doylestown, PA
When: 6:45-8:30pm
Celebrate your independence with this family-friendly event! With live music till 9 p.m., yard games, and inflatable attractions, it is guaranteed to be a good time for all. Custom medals and a FREE DelVal Creamery Ice Cream or PA Draft Beer for every race finisher! After the run, stay for DelVal’s Friday Night Wine Concert.  Local Pennsylvania Craft Beers and Rosebank Winery Wines will be available for purchase during this event.
