Beyond traditional Easter egg hunts and bunny photos (some of these below also offer bunny photos!), many communities throughout the county are also offering unique and versatile events and celebrations to commemorate the Easter and Spring season. Whether it is a virtual baking session, an in-person food fest, holiday painting session, train ride with the Bunny, or other creative activities, the festivities are plentiful and are sure to satiate appetites and provide enjoyable opportunities to suit many interests.
Pretzels & Prayer: A Holy Week Emilie Family Fellowship Event via Emilie United Methodist Church

As a special family event to kick off Holy Week, join Emilie United Methodist Church in Levittown as they host and stream a live, creative pretzel baking session! New Hope Ivyland Railroad Easter Bunny Express
When: Saturday, March 20 through Easter Sunday, April 4, weekends only, 11am-3pm; reservations are required and limited to a select number of passengers.
Where: New Hope Train Station, 32 West Bridge Street, New Hope
Enjoy a relaxing, yet thrilling 60-minute, round-trip ride from New Hope to Lahaska in a passenger coach while taking in the hills and valleys of the county. Take in the budding & blossoming flowers while children interact with the Easter Bunny, himself! While en route, the Easter Bunny will visit with each child and provide bags of Easter candy, trinkets and an Easter egg with jelly beans! Newtown Business Association (NBA) Easter Bunny Cruise
When: Saturday, April 3, 10-11:30am
Where: Downtown Newtown throughout various Newtown neighborhoods, including: Newtown Crossing, Newtown Place & Newtown Grant
This year, amidst social distancing and various restrictions, join the Newtown Business Association as they bring the Bunny to the lawns of the community! Starting on April 3 at 10am, the “Bunny Mobile,” will make its way throughout Newtown, greeting children and families and creating a unique and safe experience for all. The event will also be live streamed on their Facebook page.
Elmo’s Eggstravaganza Easter Celebration at Sesame Place
When: March 27-April 18, on select dates, 10am-5 or 6pm depending on the day, to be reserved online with ticket purchase (children under 23 months are FREE!)

Join your favorite furry friends and characters for a safe and socially-distanced celebration! Chock-full of fun and exciting events, this year’s celebration is slated to be more thrilling than ever with numerous offerings available for the first time! All new this year are photos with the Easter Bunny in the new picture patch, described as an oasis! Bust a move and belt out a tune at the all-new Furry Friends Bunny Hop Dance Party, a physically-distanced and interactive event. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Easter outdoors on the farm! Purchase tickets in advance via website and delight in a traditional Easter egg hunt via wagon ride, where children will find six candy-filled eggs, receive a prize and meet the Easter Bunny, himself! Purchased admission also includes events such as: giant jumping pillow, chalk truck, sports zone, backyard games, duck races, animated chicken show and more! Family Fun Easter Party at Painting with a Twist
When: Sunday, March 28, 11am-12:30pm
Where: Painting with a Twist, 2337 Street Road, Bensalem
Indulge your inner artist with a holiday touch, gather the family and plan to head over for the Easter Party at Painting with a Twist! Offered at $28 per person, as an all-ages event, with advance registration. Participants will each paint a 16×20 canvas to commemorate the Easter holiday! Family members can and are encouraged to paint with their children, but children will be able to also paint on their own, if they choose. Plan to arrive early to pick up your apron and to choose your seats. Feel free to bring along your own snacks and refreshments; cups, plates and napkins will be provided, but utensils will not.
Easter/Spring Cupcake Decorating Class at The Mercantile of Doylestown
When: Sunday, March 28, 2-3pm
Where: The Mercantile of Doylestown, 444-446 N. Main Street, Doylestown
Offered for children ages 5-8, at this special seasonal/holiday baking event, children will each be given four cupcakes to decorate and bring home with them! All materials are provided with the $25 advance registration fee! NOTE: a COVID health check will need to be signed at the door and temperatures will be taken.
Spring Fling with the Animals at The Shops at Valley Square
When: Saturday, April 3, 1-5pm
Where: The Shops at Valley Square, 1501 N. Main Street, Warrington
Celebrate Easter through a visit with the animals; interact and delight in exotic and farm animals in collaboration with Peaceable Kingdom Petting Zoo at The Shops at Valley Square. For $5 per person if bought in advance through Paypal, or $10, cash only, per person if bought at the door, bring along your printout or screenshot as proof of purchase and enjoy a fun afternoon with the animals. Prepare to meet and greet with baby goats, sheep, and more, plus Einstein the PA Snow Camel will be making an appearance! Masks are required for all of those over the age of 2. Pay homage to one of the Easter season’s most-beloved candies, PEEPS, and check out some of the most elaborate, unique and exhilarating displays all featuring PEEPS! Enjoy more than 70 creations, which according to the Peddler’s Village website includes: wall art, dioramas and sculptures! Admission to this festive event is free and open to all, daily.
