As days become longer amid the blossoming assortments of vibrant flowers, the Spring and Easter season is underway, with pastel colors, bunnies and Easter eggs making their anticipated return. Whether it is dyeing eggs, baking sweet treats, posing for photos or enjoying a meal with the Bunny, Easter in Bucks County is sure to please the taste buds and preferences of most with many offerings returning this year, after a brief hiatus last year when many restrictions were in place. Prepare your Easter baskets, bonnets and festive holiday attire and celebrate the season while enjoying exciting egg hunts, hearty meals, sweet treats and many other plentiful holiday options at some of these favorite Bucks County spots.

Lower Makefield Township’s Egg-Stravaganza 

When: Monday, March 29-Thursday, April 1, at your leisure

Where: Large Easter eggs will be hidden throughout Lower Makefield Township’s various parks & trails

Open to children ages 12 and under, adventure throughout the parks and trails of Lower Makefield Township on a holiday quest to locate the 10 hidden, large Easter eggs! All of those who find the eggs will receive a special prize and as an added bonus, those who find a golden egg will receive an extra special prize! Northampton Parks & Recreation Easter Shoe Box Parade & Egg Hunt with Peter Cottontail 

When: Shoebox Float Submissions can be submitted via email through Monday, March 29 and all entries will be available for online viewing on April 3 and 4th on the Parks & Recreation website.

For the egg hunt, clues for the various egg hunt locations & participation details will be posted after March 12 on the Parks & Recreation website.

Where: All virtual and on your own at your leisure! Complete your shoebox float from anywhere and snap a photo for email submission.

For the egg hunt, clues will be hidden at various locations throughout Northampton Township and once found and unscrambled to reveal the Bunny’s message at your leisure, the unscrambled words/message is emailed with the child’s name and age.

New this year, embark on a Shoebox Parade open to anyone! Put on your thinking cap and craft a unique, colorful and festive float to be shared with the rest of the community over Easter Weekend, plus watch Peter Cottontail live via the township website! Be sure to submit a photo of your final creation by Monday, March 29 to be included in the virtual parade. Also, keep a watch on the township website after March 12, where clues will be revealed for the virtual egg hunt! Find all 10 eggs to unscramble the Bunny’s message and once found, email the participating child’s name, age and unscrambled message for the chance to win a $25 gift card to Learning Express!

A Hoppy Egg Hunt at Upper Southampton Parks & Recreation
