Bucks Happening This Week

June delivers the start to this year's Artists Vision Film Festival in Lambertville, which will include short films; live music; and outdoor films throughout the summer. Don't miss the live music by Jac and short films (1-5 mins) at the corner of Bridge & Union this Friday, June 3rd.

What's better than First Friday in Doylestown on a warm summer night? Central Bucks Family YMCA will partner with CB Cares to participate in Doylestown’s First Friday event Friday, June 3, 6 to 8 PM, held at the YMCA’s primary campus on Lower State Street and Memorial Drive. Bring a picnic, blanket and enjoy live free music under the stars. Plus, Pre-Teens can head to the Night in the Teen Center from 7-10 PM. Pre-registration is required. $5 Members; $8 NonMembers.

The next event hold a special place in Bucks Happening's heart because co-founder, Angela Giovine, actually was part of the original cast of this beautiful show. The Spirit in Motion Ballet Theater Presents “The Adventures of Finding Neverland” on both Saturday and Sunday at Bucks County Community College. Let the imagination of childhood soar into your heart with this unforgettable musical. Enjoy the cast of many characters as Wendy, Captain Hook, Pirates, Lost Boys, Indians, and, of course, the boy who refused to grow up, Peter Pan. Peddler’s Village presents the 27th Annual Fine Arts & Contemporary Crafts Show on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine. This event features more than 40 of the region’s best artists with works on exhibition as well as for sale. You’ll see paintings, photography, wood creations, & more. Free admission and parking.

Do you love those crazy Sci-fi channel documentaries that scare the bananas out of you with world-disaster stories? Well, then this is the event for you. It's the Disaster on the Delaware: Stories and Images of the Deadly Flood of 1955 on Saturday, June 4th from 2pm to 4pm at Lower Makefield Library. Hear author Shafer Mary read from her award-winning book “Devastation on the Delaware: Stories and Images of the Deadly Flood of 1955.” There will also be a digital slide presentation.

Mini-golf + a great cause = sign me up! It's the First Annual Miniature Golf Outing on Sunday, June 5th from 1 to 3pm at Mad Golfer in Southampton. Come out and enjoy a day of fun and help support the Bucks County Children's Advocacy Center. Tickets are $15 per person and include a round of mini-golf, prizes and ice cream.
