Local ghost stories, frighteningly good wines, and good bag treats are paired together for an evening. The night will feature Adele Gamble of the New Hope Ghost Tours. Cost is $20 per person.

Faith Martin is happily married to the football coach. A rally is scheduled for the eve of the big game. But it's the night that Julian, Faith's old friend, is to appear in a program of readings resulting in instant conflict between the Athletic and Speech departments. Faith finds herself in the middle when Miss Speare of Speech accuses her of “carrying on” with Julian. Also Faith's rich aunt who's never met her husband is arriving. If her aunt approves, all will be well. Then, in the middle of dinner preparations, the Martins' maid quits. Faith convinces Julian to masquerade as the new maid then another new maid appears and another and another until there are five pretend maids!

The Haunting of Hill House

A Play by F. Andrew Leslie. A chilling and psychological study in mounting terror in which a small group of “psychically receptive” people are brought together in Hill House, a brooding, mid-Victorian mansion known locally as a place alive with evil and “contained ill will.” Led by the learned Dr. Montague, who is conducting research in supernatural phenomena, the visitors have come to probe the secrets of the old house and to draw forth the paranormal powers that it is alleged to possess–powers which have brought madness and death to those who have lived there in its past.

38th Annual Historic Bristol Day
Bristol Lions Park, Radcliffe St., Bristol
10:00 am – 5:00 pm

This year’s theme will celebrate the influence of the Delaware River to the development of Bristol. Bristol’s location on the beautiful Delaware River was important as a hub in the transportation grid of the time and later as an important part of the industrial development of the country. This free, family-friendly street fair features a variety of arts and craft vendors, food vendors and entertainers, children’s games, a sailing regatta on the Delaware River, a car show and much more.

Autumn Alive!

The 15th Annual Autumn Alive! celebration is a day of outdoor fun in Quakertown for the family. Eliminating racism is one of the two central principles of the YWCA mission, along with the empowerment of women.
