FARM FRESH TURKEYS
No more freezer burned turkeys from far away! Here are four farms in Bucks County that are selling fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving. If you want to eat local this Thanksgiving, be sure to order as soon as possible.
Bolton Farm, 1005 Main Street., Route 113, Silverdale: The farm is the only large turkey farm left in the county. They breed and raise their own turkeys, about 8,000 to 10,000 a year. The turkeys are raised naturally and with no antibiotics. They are taking orders from now until two weeks before Thanksgiving. The price is $3.29 a pound. To order, call (215) 257-6047.
Necessity Farm and Dairy, 202 Green Hill Road, Telford: To order a turkey for Thanksgiving, email Carol at necessityfarmsanddairy@gmail.com or call (267) 382-0556. Order before November 19.
Fairview Farm, 831 Pineville Road, Pineville: The farm begins taking orders Nov. 1, within a two pound range. The birds start at 12-14 lbs. and go up to 35 lbs. They come from a farm in Lancaster County. Call to order by the week before Thanksgiving. The bigger the turkey you want, the earlier you should call. Open Monday through Saturdays 8:30am to 5pm. - Fundraise Only: There is no registration fee, but you can be a part of this exciting event by registering to help raise funds for CEA's mission.

96th Annual 6ABC Dunkin' Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade
Thursday, November 26, 2015. The parade broadcast begins at 8:30 a.m and ends at approximately 12 noon.
The 1.4-mile 6ABC Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade is the oldest Thanksgiving parade in the country and a true Philadelphia tradition. The city streets make way for massive floats and giant balloons, plus local performers from choirs, dance groups, marching bands and more. And Santa himself arrives in grand fashion, ushering Philadelphia into the holiday season. Now in its 96th year, the annual Thanksgiving Day parade promises another visual and celebratory feast. So bundle up, grab the kids or a group of friends and head out for an early holiday treat.
