Earth Day Farmer's Bounty

The River House at Odette's is partnering with Sansone's Farm in Hopewell, NJ for an Earth Day Bounty Weekend. If you love great food and fresh ingredients, you won't want to miss it. Indulge your appetite and revel in the process of cultivating, harvesting, preparing and savoring each bite in the beautiful and local landscape where it was grown. “Sellebrate” Sellersville Clean-Up Day

When: Saturday, April 23rd, 9 am – 12 pm
Where: American Legion Post #255, 75 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA

Sellersville Parks & Recreation Board is hosting their 2nd Annual “Sellebrate” Sellersville Community Clean-Up Day. Volunteers will be meeting at the American Legion Post. Volunteers will be provided with trash bags, gloves, and safety vests and will spread out to areas in need of clean up. Sheep Shearing Day at the Peter Wentz Farmstead

When: Saturday, April 23rd, 10 am – 3:30 pm
Where: Peter Wentz Farmstead, 2030 Shearer Road, Landsdale, PA

Join the Peter Wentz Farmstead for the return of the annual Sheep Shearing Day! Watch the ewes lose their winter coats as the farmers demonstrate 18th-century methods of shearing sheep. Stop by the pasture to meet the two new lambs. Follow the steps “from sheep to sweater” as you visit the living historians who will be demonstrating how to card the wool and spin it into thread, how to weave the thread into fabric and how the fabric is sewn into clothing. You will get a chance to experience the many facets of typical springtime life on a colonial farm. There will be crafters making baskets, bookbinding, rug hooking and more. The two sheep shearing demonstrations will be at 11 am and 1 pm. At 12 pm there will be a puppet show. Guided short tours of the first floor of the historic home will be taking place throughout the day. A $2 donation per person is suggested.

Plant a Tree for Earth Day | Pennsylvania Horticultural Society

When: Friday, April 22 – Sunday, April 24th
Where: Greater Philadelphia Area

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, alongside PHS Tree Tender groups will celebrate Earth Day by hosting their semi-annual tree planting now until April 24th. No prior gardening experience is required. This initiative creates and enhances tree canopy while also promoting healthier, greener communities throughout Philadelphia neighborhoods. This spring will be the largest volunteer tree planting that PHS has ever coordinated with over 1,500trees planted over a span of 5 days. Register here.

Delaware Valley University A Day

When: April 22, 12 pm – 8 pm, April 23, 10 am – 7 pm and April 24, 10 am – 6 pm
Where: Delaware Valley University, 700 E Butler Ave, Doylestown, PA

Delaware Valley University's A Day brings the campus community and neighbors throughout Bucks County and the region together for educational exhibits, entertainment, great food, activities for the kids and fun for all. Taking place Friday-Sunday, cost is $10 to park.

Danny DeGennaro Book Release Concert

When: Saturday, April 23rd, 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm
Where: Zlock Performing Arts Center, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA

The Danny DeGennaro Foundation's fourth Creative Inspiration fundraising concert will be held on Saturday, April 23rd. The concert, which doubles as a fundraiser, features performances from DeGennaro's former bandmates, Kingfish, his old friend and blues musician Mikey Junior, along with Hooters drummer, David Uosikkinen, as well as set s from aspiring Bucks County musicians, Laura Fiocco, and Katelyn Cryan. Comedian Anita Wise will serve as the MC. “Way Too Fast,” a new DeGennaro biography written by New York Times best-selling author John Farmer, will be available at the event.

Medieval Festival

When: Sunday, April 24, 1 pm – 5 pm
Where: Glencairn Museum, 1001 Cathedral Road #0757, Bryn Athyn, PA

The Medieval Festival is an annual event. It's a portal to the past where you can experience medieval life, art and beliefs through demonstration and activities. Enjoy live medieval music and glassblowing, see replica medieval weapons in action, explore the galleries and more. The event is from 1-5 pm at the Glencairn Museum.

Gallery Talk: Sterographing America

When: Sunday, April 24, 1 pm
Where: Pennypacker Mills Mansion, 5 Haldeman Road, Schwenksville, PA

Hear an in-depth talk about the history of stereographs. Learn how these devices were the longest running types of photography spanning from daguerrotypes to modern day. Visitors will be able to view many of the stereographs in 3D, using a lorgnette, which will be provided for use in the galleries. All ages are welcome. This event is free but a $2 donation is suggested.

Hunterdon Watercolor Society Art Show & Sale

When: Thursday, April 28th – May 2nd
Where: Prallsville Mills, 33 Risler Street (Route 29), Stockton, NJ

The Hunterdon Art Show and Sale begins on Thursday, April 28th and goes until May 2nd. It's held on weekdays from 12 pm – 5 pm and weekends from 10 am – 6 pm. This event is free and open to the public. There will be original artworks in watercolor, acrylic and oil fine art prints and notecards. Cash or check only.
