Upper Makefield Carnival 2022
When: April 26 – Saturday, April 30
Where: Across from the Post Office at Washington Crossing State Park, 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing, PA
Upper Makefield Fire Company's 2022 Carnival will be held from Tuesday – Saturday, April 30th. The five day carnival will have rides for all ages by Houghton Enterprises, a variety of tasty foods and treats, carnival games and prizes and fun for the entire family. Ride tickets are $1.25 and $25 for a sheet of 24 tickets.
Newtown Scavenger Hunt
When: April 9:00 am – May 1, 3 pm
Where: Newtown Borough, 114 East Centre Avenue, Newtown, PA
Team up with friends and family to find and photograph items as you explore the beauty and history of Newtown. This event is for all ages. Participants will be emailed their scavenger hunt packet on April 30 at 9 am. If you would like to compete for prizes, bring your completed packet to the Newtown Library between 2:30-3 pm on Sunday. All proceeds will benefit the Newtown Library Company, a non-profit organization run by community volunteers.
Annual Wildflower Sale
When: Weekends, April 30, May 1, May 7, May 8, 10 am – 5 pm
Where: Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville, PA
Churchville Nature Center has a huge assortment of perennials, annuals and hanging baskets – all grown free of pesticides and chemicals. Create your pollinator and wildlife friendly garden this spring and summer. This is Churchville Nature Center's annual sale and fundraiser for the environmental education programs. Some plants will sell out fast.
Heron Walk | Bucks County Community College
When: Saturday, April 30
Where: Upper Bucks Campus, 1 Hillendale Road, Perkasie, PA
Get a glimpse into the lives of one of the largest heron species in North America, the Great Blue Heron. Birding expert Diane Allison will share her knowledge with a presentation about these amazing birds. Then, you will get a chance to visit a rookery on a preserved property near Quakertown Swamp to observe these magnificent birds in their nests. Bring your binoculars and cameras for some great views. The cost is $5/member and $10/non-member.
Country Music Fest
When: Saturday, April 30, 12 pm – 10 pm
Where: The Bar at 1720, 136 East Butler Ave, Chalfont, PA
Enjoy music from 3 amazing country artists from all over the U.S. at the Bar at 1720. The Country Fest will feature Blake Hillard, Richard Rey, and Jake's Rockin Country Band. Tickets are $20.
Three Stooges Film Fest
When: Sunday, May 1st, 2 pm – 4 pm
Where: The Newtown Theatre, 120 North State Street, Newtown, PA
The Newtown Theatre's annual Three Stooges Film Fest is on Sunday, May 1st at 2 pm. Michelle Squiccimara, registrar and outreach coordinator at The Stoogeum in Ambler, will host the event and introduce each short: Pop Goes the Easel, Three Smart Saps, Dizzy Detectives, Gents Without Cents and Who Done It? Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for Newtown Theatre members. Remaining tickets will be sold for $20 at the door on the day of (if available).
Independent Bookstore Day
When: Saturday, April 30, 10 am – 5 pm
Where: The Doylestown Bookshop, 16 S. Main Street, Doylestown, PA
Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national celebration that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. Every store is unique and independent and every party is different. There are exclusive books and literary items that you can only get on that day. The Doylestown Bookshop is having story time with Lolly, a chance to meet guest booksellers, children's hand painting, scavenger hunt, raffles and giveaways.
Janice Mackenzie's Paint the Fairy Doors Event
When: Saturday, April 30, 10 am
Where: Sellersville Train Station, Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA
The Sellersville Park & Recreation Board invites you to the Sellersville Train Station, Lawn Avenue on Saturday to paint a fairy door. Children ages 4-12 are welcome to paint a door, but you must pre-register through the Borough office. Class size is limited to 25 so sign up early. There is a $10 materials fee due when you register.
